Hello there:
The first thing i would check is the power supply if this is not working it needs to be replaced
Also you can unplug the power from the computer and open the case and find the power supply cord that connects to the mother board and dissconnect ti from the mother board ,
now press in on the computer power button and hold for 30 seconds and do the same for the reset button if it has one this will release any (ESD that may have built up ) now just reconnect the motherboard cord that you dissconnected earlier and plug in the power cord to the computer and try to restart
OK? I hope that this has been very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Remove fan d865perl

It depends. You usually must replace the entire heatsink/fan assembly. If you have the standard 'Intel' heatsink/fan that came with a retail boxed Intel processor, you flip the levers in opposite directions to loosen the assembly, and then you slip a thin piece of metal under each of the four hooks that attach it to the mobo, but you do them one at a time. You just pry a little bit and lift up on each one. After the last hook is freed, you pull the unit completely off the board.

There's also a power connector. Don't forget to unplug it. There are at least 100 different styles of HSF for that mobo. You also want to twist a little to work the thermal-transfer compound loose. Otherwise you might pull the processor out with the HSF.

MX5/ loss power on the road, now won't start ....how do I reset the car?

There is no reset. The cars engine has developed some kind of problem like loss of fuel pressure or spark. The first thing you must do is have a shop read the fault codes in the memory of the engine control module and then do the pinpoint testing required to isolate and repair the problem(s)

Just got a SATA hd. Want to know if there are...

Off course you can and u don't need any special drivers. If ur PC does not recognize the SATA then run the MB CD & search for new hardware connected, if it has the drivers it will take it from there or vist this link: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865perl/rl_howto.htm if u require any help.....sodeep

Intel D865PERLL Motherboard will not power up

Hi nkda2000, this is as close as I could find for power schematics. Intel D865PERL
http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/D865PERL/sb/CS-027143.htm

(There is no Intel D865PERLL board). Sure it's a typo. Have done searches for D865PERLL & found it (Not on Intle's web site) but when looking at the specs it's listed as D865PERL. (One L ) not two.

I hope the Technical Product Specification pdf can help you check the power on the motherboard.

Luck!

Mike

D865PERL Motherboard NO POST

Hi, Try do a CMOS reset on the motherboard. Remove the Lithium memory back-*up battery and let it sit for a while. If still a no go, borrow/replace the memory, checkif the CPU shows sign of warming up when powered on (this would indicate that it is indeed receiving power but just not booting). Try reseatting the video card if you've got one. Another that you can check is if the capacitors very near the top of the CPU are busted/swollen. Normally they should be shiny and flat with an X or Y mark. If they show signs of brownish color, cracked X or Y, blistering, swollen/bursted top, then you have a major motherboard problem which would require replacement. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
