My scanner is scanning but why it's not coming in system notepad while scan sound everything is ok fine?

Your scanner may be set/programmed for a mode other than "keyboard wedge". Scanners typically come with a quick start guide with multiple barcodes that you can scan to program the scanner for your particular needs.
If you are trying to scan into Notepad or other text application, you will want to make sure the scanner is in keyboard emulation/wedge mode, and if you want it to have a "return" or "tab" after the scanned barcode, you should have options for that also.
If you have a used scanner and do not have the quick start guide or manual, you will want to look it up and download it from the manufacturers website.

How do you turn dos off

You can't. Even if your using a Linux based operating system it has a form of Dos installed. Without does you don't have anything to tell the computer what to do.

I cannot get my opticon barcode reader to work with my wirless keyboard. I have a Dell computer, and a Microsoft wireless keyboard I have the hand-held CCD Wedge Interface (25-wedge-06 Opticon Bar code...

Hi!

Keyboard Wedge Barcode Scanners are sometimes tricky because they will not operate if the keyboard is physically attached to the Scanners' "Y" cable. A possible solution would be to attach an additional keyboard to the "Y" cable and simply set it aside un-used. (This would allow you to continue to use the Wireless Keyboard; which I assume is USB). I may also be able to program the scanner to operate in a Laptop Mode which would allow you to operate successfully as-is. I would need your exact model number to investigate if this is possible.

Hope this helps!

Scanner beeps but doesn't enter data into system

Have you scanned the configuration barcodes on the manual? For example if you are using keyboard wedge cable, you will need to scan the keyboard wedge barcode from the manual. Page 20.

LS2208 works - Keyboard does not

Check that the wedge is good. It is basically a hybrid spltter that powers both the scanner and the keyboard.
USB keyboard?
If so, you may want to go direct to either a serial port or a USB direct connection

Microsoft wireless keyboard 3000

not all microsoft keyboards are compatable with linux the best keyboard that is compatable with linux and windows is the Cherry CyMotion Master Linux keyboard it was relesed in oct this year.

The Linux keyboard has the Linux penguin logo, Tux, instead of the Windows start key and features 29 hot keys. The hot keys are configured for the Linux operating system and desktop applications, simplifying actions such as cutting, copying and pasting text, and moving between Web pages.

it costs around £29.99 i have one my self its great for linux.
