Question about Toshiba Portege M700-S7044X Notebook
I have dell 110L inspirion with XP professional. System starts up then goes to a black scrren in safe mode or not, with only the mouse pointer showing
I think your Windows installation is damaged. Boot from your operating system CD. (Go into setup mode F2 or delete during bootup. Go to the Boot select screen and set up to boot from CD. Place your OS CD in the drive and power on.) When it boots, it should give you the option of REPAIR. Select this and allow Windows to repair itself. I hope this helps you resolve your problem.
