How much ram and what kind of ram

If you are referring to computer RAM always put the largest ram module closest the CPU central processing unit

try to keep the same brand and type of ram the same ie: ddr ddr3.......
you will be able to read the ram type on the ram already inside

make sure you secure the ram modules by pressing the levers down firmly at both ends of of there sockets

make sure your computer is turned of before you attempt this
be sure to wear an earth strap before touching anything inside your computer
the ram modules sockets are located near your cpu

If you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules.

hope this helps you

I installed the motherboard with the cpu 3500+

Hi,

There could be many things that could stop the board from turning on, Determining what is wrong is like detective work. What I do, is take everything off the board to start. Then add the minimum to start a board to see if it will start. That's one drive (cd or otherwise) the CPU, and one bank of memory. (that's not a required eliminate, but it helps avoid beep codes) Also, make sure you have your pin's set on the board absolutely correct, or that could be your problem to begin with. Also, if your going to load a ide drive, make sure you set your pin setting correctly on it. Now, you should get the power supply on, and the cpu. If those don't power up, it's then either one of the five elements. The CPU, Power supply, Ram, Drive, or the motherboard. The next step is to replace each one of the first four with another to see if you get any change. Also, on the drive, try a different cable to make sure it's not that, If no change, then I usually get another board that I can test the first four, and make sure that they work. If after that and you have tested all of the components and they all work, then it's save to say you have a Dead Board
.
Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.
Thanks
Mark

Fails to boot, fans and lights on, no bios or anything

My recommendations would be to remove all connections to the board.
Remove the CMOS battery.
Remove the CPU fan and CPU.
Look at the top of the CPU, if you have a crust over the top of the CPU, you will need to remove it to a clean surface.
Next, your CPU fan should be a 3 wire connection on the motherboard, within two inchs of the CPU holder.
After cleaning the CPU, re-inseart and apply a heat sink lub for good heat transfer.
Re-install CPU fan and plug in to board connection.
Re-install your CMOS battery and power up unit.

With the CMOS battery removed, the time and date will need to be reset.
Also, in the BIOS for that board, you should be able to see temps. and rpm readings. ??
Hope the CPU has not taken a dump on you.!
Before you plug in the drives and other devices, check temps. rpm and voltages.
Have fun, hope this has helped you.

PC stays in Sleep Mode and Keyboard and Mouse doesn't work

Well that's kind of a loaded question.
There is several things that can cause this to happen.
1. The CPU died because the cpu fan just died and burnt it out.
2. The Ram is bad which I doubt.
3. Somthing happend and burnt out the motherboard sometimes we get insects that climb inside our computer and go onto things and alot of stuff in the computer that can be grounded by a bug or whatever and burn out our computer I've had it happen before.
The monitor is fine it's just blinking because it's not getting a signal from the P.C.
You can try to unplug the PC and plug it back in and try again or even check in the back on the power supply there is a I/O switch make sure it's on.
