Go to System preferences then under internet and network in the left hand column click on + sign at bottom of the column then under slect the interface choose airport click on create and then click on turn airport on and then select your network name and if a password is asked for put in the password.

If airport does not show up it probably means that your mac does not have a wireless card in it.

Hope this helps.

I would check to see if your getting an IP address from the router. If you are, try to see if you are able to access the router.

Type the router's IP address into your safari window: Usually 192.168.1.1

If you have a good IP but still can't access the website, there could be an issue with your new mac computer. Here is the toll free support line for mac: U.S. iPod and Mac technical support: 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273)

You don't use the AOLdesktop app.
To use AOL as your home page in Safari, use the following URL address
http://www.aol.com/
Once there, log on to your account and then in the Safari Preferences General Tab, click on "set to current page" in the home page option.

Try with Safari or Firefox. If still no pages loading then your Airport is not connecting to the Internet. If you are using a cable modem contact your ISP for assistance.

You can also try to "empty cache" from the safari menu, you won't loose anything doing that. Best regards

Can't open www.apple.com

If you're having troubles accessing a single website, it's possible something changed your hosts file to redirect you to another site. Tell me if you're using a Mac, or a Windows PC (and what version) and i'll show you how to check it.
