If you look closely a the metal ends of the fuse you`ll see values written on it i.e;250v.3A in that case 3amps. Use a magnifier that makes it easier. the number before the"A" is the amp value.

Amp was working, now it will not turn on and no lights

Every amp like this has a fuse on the board inside the amp. Remember to be VERY CAREFUL poking around in these! Please!!! These carry a charge enough to KILL YOU! EVEN UNPLUGGED.
I would disconnect it from the wall, disconnect the two wires on the speaker remembering exactly where they were. - + .. Take the amp's head out removing the four scrrews on top. To reveal the circuit board. Look for leaking capacitors first. They will look like soda cans. They might be laying down or up right . The biggest ones pay attention to and look for ***** substance leaking out. The upright ones will have a flat top/ Bad ones will be buldge on top. and leaking. If everything listed above looks ok? Find the glass fuse and remove it to get the correct voltage and amps for that fuse. and replace it . Never run an amp without the speaker connected.

I can't find the fusebox on a 1993 buick roadmaster

Check under hood and under dash on driver's side and under glove compartment on the passenger side.

I have never had one of these vehicles, but GM cars usually have the fuse boxes in one or more of those areas.

Good luck on this repair.

---
To remove a fuse:
  • With glass cartridge or blade-type fuses, a special fuse removing tool can be used to remove a bad fuse.
  • Blade-type fuses are easy to remove by hand or with a needle nose pliers.
To replace a fuse:
  • Be sure to replace a fuse with the correct one for the application.
  • SFE (Society of Fuse Engineers) and all-glass cartridge (sometimes called "Bussman" or "Buss") fuses will interchange with one another, so care is required.
  • Be sure that the fuse is the correct rating. Too low an amp rating will result in burned fuses. Too high a rating can cause a fire.
  • Check the end of the fuse for its amp rating. The correct amp rating of the fuse to be used is listed on the fuse block.
  • Fuses are generally numbered, and the main components abbreviated.
f14-36.jpg Typical fuse box or panel.
  • On late-model cars, there may be icons or symbols indicating which circuits they serve. This identification system is covered in more detail in the owner's and service manuals.
NOTE To calculate the correct fuse rating, use Watt's law: watts ÷ volts = amperes. For example, if you are installing a pair of 55-watt fog lights, divide 55 by the battery voltage (12 volts) to find out how much current the circuit has to carry. Since 55 ÷ 12 = 4.58, the current is approximately 5 amperes. To allow for current surges, the correct in-line fuse should be rated slightly higher than the normal current flow. In this case, an 8- or 10-ampere fuse would do the job.NOTE It's advisable to carry an assortment of spare fuses in the glove compartment. It is difficult to know when one will blow. Also, you should learn borrow a fuse from a less critical circuit. For example, it is possible to do without power for the radio or air conditioner, if a fuse is needed for the headlights or brake lights. Make certain, however, that the fuse borrowed and later replaced has the same current rating. Remember that a blown fuse was caused by something going wrong. Replacing the fuse may or may not give a temporary solution to the problem.

How do i change fuses for power windows

Get a fuse kit that has fuses and a puller and tester from Walmart or local parts store.
Locate the fuse which is either under the hood or under the dashboard on the driver's side.
There may be a sticker on the door that tells you which fuse is for PW or Power Windows.

Where can I get a 20A 125v fuse for my emerson microwave from?

Most appliance parts places carry the fuse, and it's also available at Home Depot stores if you live near one. If you can't find the ceramic-body type MWO fuse, you can also use a glass type 3AG fuse of the same rating. They are the same size.

What type of fuse do you get for a Breeze AT EcoQuest unit?

A buss type fuse is like the glass tubeb with metal ends and just snaps in two clamp type holder. Any automotive store carries them. know what amperage, like 5, 10,15 ,20 etc. The 250 v is the norm. The fuse protects against amperage overload not voltage. They come in tins of assorted or specifc in fives. Good luck

The fuse rating should be on the metal side of the metal ends of the glass fuse. Very hard to read amps and rating, may need a jewelers lupe. Or take the remains to Radio Shack.
