How can I put antenna

You will need to be more specific. Where do you need advice- is it connecting the antenna to the CB, or are you asking where to position your antenna? If it's a mobile antenna or a base station antenna you need to do different installations.

Tip

SWR Setting

Antennas for all radios need to have the SWR set, STANDING WAVE RATIO. Which means the antenna needs to be the correct length for it to work properly. Most people stick them on and start talking.. This is not good pratice to do. The lower the frequency the longer the antenna needs to be. The higher the frequency the shorter it needs to be. ie. 80m ham antenna needs to be around 67 ft long. and a wifi antenna needs to be just less than an inch. soo, Your CB is on 26.965ch1-27.405ch40 so ch1 is lower freq than ch 40.
obtain swr meter. inline with the radio - meter - antenna..
check swr first on ch1. then check 40 if there both good try to even out both so that there around 2.0 or less ideal is 1.1 to 1 or 1.5 to 1....
Now if ch1 is higher than ch40 = need to raise the antenna make it longer.
If ch40 is higher than ch1 = need to shorten the antenna.
some antennas have an adjustable whip. ie wilson, k40, predator10k, etc.
just adjust the whip to obtain low swr ...
some other antennas don't have whips to adjust. like Francis and OEM antennas on most trucks from the factory. these either need cutting like francis. or the oem style has a cap and wire wound under it. trim little bit at a time.1/8inch or less. if you never set swr before always try to find a good HAM operator to help you. or a decent cb shop. MOST will not charge you to do them. and Good Amateur radio operators and Good CB Shops will have an Antenna Analyzer made by MFJ.. This is what we Use here AnyMHz.com at our shop. There more accurate then a analog meter alone. And it will not interfere will people on the air like a swr meter.
Anyone that needs help please feel free to contact us. We're glad to help.

Need to know how to change and setup for use of antenna

Purchase your UHF/VHF antenna. The antenna can also be purchased at most electronic and retail stores. Consult your list from Step 1 and see how powerfulicon1.png the over-the-air signals are for your specific address. Purchase your antenna based on the broadcasting power you need to receive a clear picture on your TV. You might be able to get away with an indoor antenna if your signal strength is strong enough. If not, you'll need to purchase an outdoor antenna.

  • 4 Install your antenna (or have it done professionally) according to the building codes of your area. If you must use an outdoor antenna, it is a good ideaicon1.png to have the antenna professionally installed. This ensures that it is properly grounded on your roof, not too close to electrical wiring and stable during inclement weather.
  • 5 Hook the converter box up to your television using the cable that came with it (F Cable). Hook your antenna up to the converter Box. Turn on your TV and converter box. Tune your TV to channel 3 and press "Scan" on the digital convert box. Allow the box to scan for your available channels.
  • 6 View your picture and adjust your antenna accordingly for the clearest over-the-air feed. You should only need to make adjustments once. If you are having a difficult time getting a clear picture, use a signal strength indicator to see where you receive the most powerful signal.

I need an antenna for the sony Mico Hi Fi CMT-FX300i

Do you need the AM loop antenna or the FM antenna? The loop antenna is available for $11.27 from http://www.partstore.com/Model/Sony/Sony/CMTFX300I.aspx . This is part number, 1-754-399-11 . The antenna is also available from Amazon.com for $15. I do not know of any sources for the FM antenna.

    I hope this helps.

I can't get FOX on my converter box--what is the channel # for FOX?

It could be your antenna. Some retailers sold consumers UHF-only outdoor antennas and not VHF/UHF combo antennas. Other outdoor antennas may not have a power boost included for the VHF antennas (rabbit ears). The new DTV signals from stations are now broadcasting in lower power signals than before June 12.

    Outdoor Antenna

KMSP/FOX 9 and KARE 11 both broadcast on VHF signals. WCCO and KSTP broadcast on UHF signals. You will need a VHF/UHF outdoor antenna to pick up KMSP and KARE 11 and also get all the other channels.

    Indoor Antenna

Check your antenna to make sure it's a UHF/VHF antenna. You may need an indoor antenna that has rabbit ears -- that is the best way to get KMSP/FOX 9 reception on your TV. Your antenna should have a power boost to amplify the VHF signal if you are having trouble getting FOX 9 or KARE 11.

Need to know how to go cable free. Have TERK digital antenna

Shouldn't do, just connect the antennas into the Belling-Lee TV antenna socket at rear of set, tune channels. If you antenna won't fit, you may need an "F" connector to "Belling-Lee" converter plug. You will need an "Ordinary" Yagi VHF/UHF antenna installed though. Is that what that digital one is?

After installing the receiver box I can only get some of the channels. CH 7 is one that I cannot get and I used to get it all the time before installing the box?

In some situations, DTV signals can be more difficult to tune in. In your location you may need a larger antenna to tune in the digital channels. If you are using and indoor antenna, you may need to relocate the antenna near an outside wall or window or you may need an amplified antenna. If you are connected to and outdoor antenna, adjusting the direction it is aiming may help or in some cases you may need a larger antenna. Visit the AntennaWeb website (http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Welcome.aspx) for information about the stations you should be receiving and the type of antenna you need.

    Antenna

You will need to buy a signal amplifier antenna. One that doe not have to be connected to the radio. It will provide the amplified signal and the radio antenna (the a/c line cord and the back of the clock/radio) will be able to pick up the signal from the amplified antenna.[http://www.radiolabs.com/products/antennas/am-antenna.php] this web link will show you one type of these antenna's. Copy the web link and paste it into the address bar in your browser. It will take you to the website. There maybe other types of these antenna's but this one had the best price. Call the store and talk to them before you buy the antenna to make sure it will work in your situation. I hope this information helps you with your antenna problems.

    Sirius satellite radio

You will need to get another sat antenna, and locate it somewhere either above the camper, or where the camper does not obstruct the antenna. Any store that sells sat radio equipment (Fry's, Best Buy, etc) will have the micro antenna. Install it either on the hood of the truck, or on top of the camper. You will need to run the antenna to the rear of the dash. They make Y couplers that will allow you to run both the OEM antenna and the extermal antenna at the same time, and it will not hurt the system to have both wired in at the same time.
