How do i make this woofer work with my polroid tv

OK, it looks from what I can tell you need a 1/4" stereo plug for the input to your speaker system. The output from the TV is either RCA jacks or maybe a 1/8" sub mini stereo jack. You can likely go to Radio Shack or an audio store and purchase a cable that has the 1/4" stereo plug on one end and a 1/8" sub mini stereo plug on the other. That cable would mute the TV internal speaker or if you do not want to mute the TV speakers you can get a cable with the 1/4" stereo plug on one end and the L and R audio, RCA (phono) plugs on the other. That would give you both. RCA plug and 1/4" plugs are pretty easy to install if can not find the correct cables. Good Luck. The Yamaha unit looks to be self powered so impedance matching or load on the TV audio amps should not be a problem.

I have a model 7800 amp and and have been using it with my pc for sometime. I now wish to use with a Phillips Chassis EL1-1u-aa model 37ff7321D/37 TV monitor and the male plugs from my amp do not seem to...

"7800" amp isn't a unique term. Who makes it? An amp with male plugs, really? Most audio devices and amps have female RCA inputs connected by male cables.

All that alphabet soup for the TV gets bupkus, too. YOURS is the only hit on Google.

Go to and drill down to find the manual for your TV and see what it recommends for audio connection to an amp. Be patient, the initial alpha directories are slow to load.

If the TV programming originates with a Cable Box, use IT as the audio source. TV -audio is usually minimalist.

you are using a stereo speaker so definitely you won't get surround sound, Most TV may have either RCA or 3.5mm headphone jack type, both serve the same function, what you need to do is just use a convertor check from this link.

How can i hook up my 30gb Ipod to my Bose 901 series VI and i have it hooked uo t couple of yahamhas

There has to be some amplification in here somewhere. Any single amplifier will not work correctly with the Active EQ for 901's applied to non-901 speakers.

Any MP3-player device with at least a headphone output can feed any standard audio device that has a Line Level input (other than "PHONO") once the output is adapted to fit the input.

I don't know how to attach my speakers to the red

If you have bare ended wires , you simply unscrew the red and black plugs at the amp they should have a hole in the end of the plug and on the side also just place the red wire into the side hole of the red plug and finger tighten the red screw the same on the black plug

Latest model surround receiver for bose 901 speakers VI

I can think of no reason any amp pushing 120 watts would not work with 901-VI's. They're very efficent and will probably play louder and cleaner than you would ever need. As I recall, my old series IV's have no maximum amplifier rating specified, but I did blow up a bridged Carver M-400 Cube (pushing 400 watts to one speaker with a DVD-Audio of Yes - Fragile cranked dangerously high) with them. I'm convinced my speakers are indestructible in any home application.

Keep in mind that whatever you decide to use as your control/amplifier section, a pair of 901's need a dedicated stereo amplifier. I suspect you're thinking surround sound so a receiver with separable preamp/amp channels, due to the Activbe EQ, would be needed and as far as I know they don't exist. A separate stereo amp for the 901's was my solution. I run a Carver AV-406 (5-channel amp) for my 901's in Front, 2 Subwoofers and the Rear Surround channel, with the Active EQ between the receiver and the 901's amp channels. My receiver controls everything and just drives the Center and Surrounds.

Modest amps would work but at very loud volumes may go into clipping, which is bad for any speaker. 120 clean watts is good. I'm using only 110W for mine.

A Carver M-200 is a fine, efficient amplifier that would have you cooking just fine (2x100W).
