Movies were deleted from my video cam hdr xr260 hard drive and I need to recover.

Hello,
In order to recover photos and videos from your hard drive, you need to make use of any good recovery software. The one that I would like to recommend is Yodot Photo recovery software. This software has the ability to recover files from not only hard drive but also from external drive such as usb, memory card, camera ipod etc. If you are having question on how can I recover photos from hard drive, then download this software.

How to burn video cd?

Many of these drives came withdriver and video editing software that includes writing the final product.to a dvd. My LG drive came with cyberlink video software. This allows loading video files in many different formats, editing using the included tools to add titles, cut out parts not wanted, setting chapters, then produce by burning to the drive onto a blank dvd disc. Blanks come in dvd-r , dvd+r , and dvd-rw formats. The disc will play on dvd players. When you look at the disc with your computer, all you can see are the marker names. You cannot copy files from video discs. Other video editing software are: Cyberlink, Roxio, Etc... If you need product software, go to the link and enter your drive model number. http://msa.lge.com/product_listing?pageIndx=0&pagerId=0&catalogId=285&orig=index&md2psid=2-131468373284123264

If you captured to MiniDV you do not need to install the Image Mixer software.
Hook your camera up to the computer via Firewire (not USB) and use video editing software to "capture" the video. The capture process basically plays back your video in real-time and sends it to your hard drive. You'll need a lot of hard drive space available for this, though. 1 hour of MiniDV video is equal to 13GBs of hard drive space. So you may want to also get a fast external hard drive.
For a free video editing program for your computer, download this: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-movie-maker?os=other

For my dvd rom region

Region Code is concidered when you play any DVD movie directly from the Drive.

Like you insert any Video DVD in the Drive and right click on it and play directly where the Region Code comes into Picture.

You will be able to change the video code 4 times to use Video DVDs of different regions. However, the fifth time, what ever the DVD you use, the Drive will be locked to that region.

We need to check whether your Notebook is able to detected the DVD Drive or not.

Follow the steps listed below to check it :

Insert any DVD which you used earlier like a Data Disk or Video Disk in the DVD Drive of the Notebook and close the tray.

Now, go to My Computer and right click on the DVD Drive of the Notebook and select Open or Explore.

If you are able to see the content of the DVD / CD, the Notebook is able to detect DVDs.

I recommend you to copy the video files in the DVD into the Hard Drive and play them since this will reduce the noise generated by the DVD Drive while playing video from DVD and also its life time will be increased.

You need to copy the Video_ts folder which contains the video files in Video DVDs.

Hope this helps.

When I burn a DVD -R on my laptop from a *.wmv, the final DVD video and audio don't match up. The audio is recorded a bit faster than the video. I'm using Easy Media Creator 10. Help please.....

Make sure that no programs are running in the background on your computer.

If you have two hard drives it is recommended to put the video on one drive and let the temporary files needed to burn work off the C drive.

Make sure you hard drive is defragged as well. Having the video stored in seperate parts of your hard drive can cause this problem as well.

Hope this helps you out.
