Question about Yahoo Mail

1 Answer

When typing e-mail, charactersare being dropped or there is a pause after a key stroke, or there is no response to space bar and many other similar problems. At times it can take five minutes to type a short sentenace. I will now slowly type a sentance withut making any corretions to it. Note theword corrections correctins corrections correctins corrections corrections. Well not so bad at the moment but bad enough. The keyboard works with Word etc. Just nt yahoo e-mail. I have clearedcache, tried verizon yahoo, restored the entire system, had verizon trouble shoot FIOS connection. The problems is worse in the early a.m. and early p.m. Not so bad at the moment.

I can not locate anyone else using yahoo e-mail who is having a problem like mine.

Are you aware of others having the problem? Odd, but I am having no problems

at the moment. Someone suggested downloading firefox. Do you think that would cure

    the problem?

If this is only happening on Yahoo, and it's worse at certain times of the day then it's a clear indication that it's the Yahoo server which is suffering vast amounts of traffic and its not your computer.

Another cause of this problem can be your internet speed.

However, you could try and update your java scripting software.

Get java here >>>>>

Download and install this software. Then restart your computer, log on to Yahoo and see if the java update has made any difference typing text in emails.

If it's not solved the problem then your stuck with the server site lagging at certain times of the day.

It's highly unlikely that reinstalling or recovering the system will resolve the problem as this problem seems to be related to on-line usage.

Good luck.

Believe it or not but this can be a quite common happening when your typing text on-line. No busy website is exempt from this problem especially when the sites are that their busiest in the morning and evening.
It even happens on this site when the number of users has exceeded what the server can cope with.

You can try Mozilla Firefox because it's one of the most reliable and fastest web browsers around at the moment but you may find that the problem remains unresolved.

The spacebar on my Sony laptop is not leaving spaces be tween words when e-mailing.Hw can I fix his as i's verynnoying

The space-bar can be lifted off using a small screw driver , this will reveal whats underneath , as it clips onto a wire structure that acts like a spring as well as pushing on the electronic button to send the signal , this can be faulty due to dirt getting lodged under the space-bar or a misalignment problem with the mechanism its self and can usually be fixed once the plastic space-bar is removed , but take note when removing the plastic space-bar key in regards to how it is attached and the position of the wire spring system so that after fixing replacement is easy .

Certain keys on samsung N150 not working. space bar 2 key 3 key G letter key

Some dust or liquid must have entered or dropped on the keyboard. If it is just dust try using a compressed-air spray canister to blow in the space around the key.

If that does not work you can use a thin knife or flat screwdriver to pry the keys off. Do that with the 3 key first as the space bar is more difficult to put back in - there are a couple of springs that have to be fitted just right. Clean away any dirt and push the key in place.

If it is a liquid then you must open the entire keyboard panel and clean it from the inside. If you have the confidence and skill to do that you can try searching samsung support about how to do that. It is not that difficult if you follow the instructions carefully, but if you yank the flat cable connector off it may be difficult for you to snap it back in.Otherwise ask for professional repair.

The carriage skips several random spaces, sometimes, when the space bar is pressed, or when a key is pressed. I am a missionary in Haiti. Can you help?

The secret to typing on these machines is to peck the keys quickly and not to linger on the key, as this will just make the key judder at the top of the stroke and thus trigger repeat spacing.

Hold down the space bar with a small tip (like the edge of an eraser), but don’t use anything so sharp it cuts through or that will leave ink spots. Hold it down and wiggle it on the bar keeping constant pressure for about a minute or until you see a response. See if you start getting a full or partial response from the key. If you do…the problem is dirt; if not, it is either dirt or broken…you may need to take it apart to clean it out, but this is common. There are plastic guards sold that prevent the innards from getting dirty and will save you a lot of grief.

Slow Keypad with sticking space bar

Clean your keyboard, try to blow it out with compressed air, and also take a barely wet rag or Q-tip and clean out the gunk. You might be able to pop the keys off and clean in there, make sure the power is off or even unplug it. Even try to unplug the keypad and plug it in, and/or reboot the device.

Key stroke problems when using E-Mail (Only)

You probably use an online mail system. If you were to use Outlook or Outlook Express this would not occur, because they are not online. This basically means, when you type a character to an online system, it must travel to the remote server, then be echoed back to you. The time can vary between keystrokes widely, depending on the number of hops, latency and other factors. Offline email does everything on your PC then transmits a complete email message at one time when you send it. The speed of your internet connection can influence this greatly. Most DSL connections are fast enough that this should not happen. If you are using a telephone modem, it will happen regularly.
