Take the hose off the inlet valve and clean out the little plastic filter inside the opening it will be full of rubbish

Make sure you turn off the water supply before you do

Hello. my Lavamat 74500 update does not start the wash cycle. everythig is on, door locks but nothing happens.

sounds like a water fill problem to me, normally at start of cycle door locked, program set, start water solenoid opens and fills machine with water, once water reaches set level heater will come on and wash program will commence,
so if you have a restriction in the water supply/ water tap not turned on correctly, on blockage in water solenoid valve water flow to machine will be restricted causing a long delay before machine starts, things to try
1. make sure hose connection water valve is fully open
2.open soap draw to see / if you can hear water flowing into machine,
3 if its very slow you have a restriction in water supply
could be a twist in water supply hose, causing a restriction
all above is if machine is taking to long to fill with water,
good luck .

Water fills slowing in washing machine, kenmore ultra fabric care

Check the water inlet valve. If there is a problem it can cause a slow fill condition. Unplug the machine, turn off the water and remove the water supply hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the openings on the valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. The solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid and the valve assy will need replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

My washing machine when rinsing the water comes out in a trickle and takes about two hours to fill, it is only 6 weeks new

being a new machine, first thing i would check is the water supply of the faucet feeding the machine. remove machine hoses and run supply water to make sure you are getting normal pressure, like at any faucet. if that is good remove hoses at machine, make sure there was no packaging left on that may have bblocked the line.

Waher takes 2 hours to fill on rinse cycle, fill up pretty quickly on wash but than on rinse takes 2 or more hours to fill

This is a cold water supply problem, obvious since cold water is what is used in the rinse cycle. Check the water inlet valve. Remove the supply hoses and check the small screens inside the valve. Make sure they are not clogged with rust or debris. The solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Test for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve will need replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

The cold water trickles out and it takes a hour to fill the tub. someone said the delay switch but where is it?

check your water supply lines. there is a small screen filter where the hose from the tap or other water supply line enters the machine. it may be dirty from mineral build up. make sure all is clean , both ends.

Washing machine w827 drum fills when the machine is switched off

You have a bad water inlet valve. There is probably silt in it and it is stuck partially open. Replace the valve and you'll be back in business. Hope this helps!

Washing cycle starts and takes hours even for short cycle.

Try checking for good water supply.
Pull out detergent tray and check for good water supply during filling.
if poor filling-
Try checking the hoses.
Turn taps off, disconnect from machine, place hose end in sink, turn tap on and check for good water flow.
if the hose has a red indicator in the side of the hose (end which is fitted to the tap) - Red indicator is a failed hose.(for models with Water Stop hose type "B")
