Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Get in touch with Microsoft for a replacement or repair.
I believe it is still in guarantee.
You could also try to remove the front cover case of the xbox to see if something is blocking the closure mechanism.
Hope it helped.

Check the faceplate on the front of your drive tray. It might not be on right. I would take it off and try it then to eliminate it as the problem. It's very easy and won't affect your warranty. Hold the power cord and open the tray. As soon as the tray opens, unplug the console. I recommend unplugging the back of the Xbox rather than the outlet. Then gently pull out on the plate and lift up. It should pop right off. Don't force it. Then, with it off, try the drive again. If that doesn't work, it's jammed inside or the button is sticking.
