Philips HDD120 MP3 Player Problem

It will not accept downloads from my pc as its version of WMP is much older than mine and I am unable to upgrade it as the process is too high tec. for me. I have spent a few hours trying unsuccessfully on the Philips site. I have a Philips Gogear which is fine and have downloaded lots of music from Limewire so I do know how to use one. What do you suggest, please, because the item is currently useless to me ?

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/readme.aspx#1792680

and follow the instructions on how to rollback to Windows Media Player 10

OR:
Dowload the latest version of the software from the Philips website - this will uninstall and reinstall a good verison of the Philips software. and then you should be good.

Difficult and timely - a bit. But the only way to save the player.

How do i put music on my mp3 player

Hi You must have WMP version 10 installed onyour PC.
Is your philips player recognized by your PC (my computer / philips 63xx)?
Have you got Philips device manager installed ?.
Try www.philips.support.com insert country of residence / player I.D. check out information.

Yes, it is because you have Vista. Get the firmware upgrade:

Follow the process on the Philips website -FAQ, "I have upgraded my Windows Media Player from 10 to 11 and encountered problem with synchronization and detection of unit by PC? What could be the problem?"

Hdd120 on Vista

I'm a bit late to the party here but the solution is to right click the shortcut to the Philips DMM and run as an Administrator. It all works fine if you do.
