Question about Nintendo Wii Console

The TV screen does not recognize that the hand held remotes are in use. Sometimes they jump around erratically so we can't play any games.

You might be too close. lots of times when im too close to the screen my Wii remote starts either not showing up or moving psychotically over the screen. you kight also have a loose wireless signaler. you should take it to a game shop[ like Game Crazy and have it repaired AFTER you check first for wireless interference, and check different distanxces form the sensor bar.

Might just be that the senser may be in the wrong area, or you or you could be too close to the TV

It wont play on my tv. the screen keeps jumping around

if you have a reliable tv then you may have faulty av jacksor cables also the setting can be set as PAL in a NTSC environment in which you would have to go to a games store and get the device hard resetted to original settings

Wii curser or pointer jumps around

There are a few conditions that you need to check:

  • Batteries fully charged or at full power
  • Wii remote is aligned properly.
If the batteries are dying, that might be a cause of the jumpiness because it'll have trouble maintaining a signal lock with the sensor.

Make sure you have the sensor in the right place (above or below the TV as you specify in the settings).

Make sure you have the Wii remote sensitivity settings correct too. All of these things are in the settings menu.

The screen jumps around a bunch when i go to play games or dvds. sometimes while other things are playing also. not sure if its the resolution settings or what.

Sounds like either the PS3 is set to 1080p (52hm84 only does 1080i/720p) or you're ps3 is beginning to go. Try it on another HD screen or change to another input (HDMI --> component (RGB))

With dance dance revolution for wii, when you are supposed to shake your hands, its not working...i keep getting boos cause nothing happens

You have to be holding Wii Remotes in your hands for it to recognize the motions. Check the instruction manual for a description of exactly what it wants from you in terms of the kind of motion. It's probably just looking for you to shake the remotes around. My understanding of DDR Hottest Party is that the hand motions were not very well implemented, but I haven't played it myself.

Nintendo wii problems

Hold the Wii Remote with the button side down. Without using much force, firmly tap the button side of the remote against the palm of your other hand a few times. Doing this does not take a lot of force, so be sure not to tap the Wii Remote very hard. Check for proper response.

  • Check to make sure the Sensor Bar cord is inserted into the back of the Wii console and the Sensor Bar is centered above or below your TV screen.
  • Make sure you are using fresh batteries in the Wii Remote.
  • The Wii Remote Controller should be used between 3 to 10 feet from the TV.
  • Make sure no objects are blocking the signals between the Sensor Bar, the Wii console, and the Wii Remote.
  • Check for interference from infra-red light sources, such as candles, sunlight, fireplaces, and stoves.
  • Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically. Check for wireless devices such as cordless phones, wireless computer keyboards or mice, or other similar devices, and move or turn them off.
I hope this fixes it for you!
