Have acquired an additional handset with charger. The screen flahes a 'Please register' message. How do I do this?

Assuming you do not have 5 handsets already, make sure that the new handset is fully charged. Carry it over to the base and press Find on the base unit. (This sends out a signal to the handset.) On the handset, press Menu and use the Up arrow to go to the line marked Settings. Press Menu to access this sub-menu. The line H/Settings should be highlighted. If it isn't highlighted, use the Up/Down arrows to navigate to this line. Press Menu to access this menu. Use the Up/Down arrows to navigate to the line Register. Press Menu again. Use the Up/Down arrows to select the base to which you want the handset to be registered. Press Menu again to confirm that base registration. Enter the system PIN for this base; the initial PIN is mentioned in the manual on page 35 and on page 54. Wait for the handset to indicate that it has been registered; it will say Registering until the process is finished. If you take too long to do the steps at the handset, the signal will stop and you will need to start over.

If you already have 5 handsets, you will need to de-register one of them. If the registration process does not properly occur and the issue wasn't taking too long, either the base or the handset is not communicating properly. If other handsets work, I'd suspect that the new handset is faulty.

BT Systems has the manual on the Freestyle 750 product site: http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12103/~/bt-freestyle-750-user-guide . The direct link to the manual is http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/223683/1232386209/redirect/1/filename/BT_Freestyle_750_user_guide.pdf . The procedure to register the handset is on pages 53-54 of the manual.

I hope this helps.

My htc freestyle keeps changing the order of my texts. it puts all texts ive sent on top and ones received on the bottom, how do i change it?

try going to menu, settings, date & time, and make sure the information is correct where it says "set date" and "set time." if either is wrong, enter the correct information. that should fix it.
what happened is your phone thought you were sending a message earlier or later in time than you actually were, while whoever you're texting was sending messages on time. soooo all of your messages end up clustering at the top or bottom depending on if your phone's date & time is set early or late.

More rings required on BT FREESTYLE 750 before ans phone cuts in

The instructions say you change them using the answer phone menu in the base - you need to scroll to 'answer delay' and you can increase the rings to a maximum of 8

How do I set the time and date on my 43-3829 answer machine?

Hi, here are the instructions for setting the time on a 43-3825, which is a very similar model. They should work for your machine too.

1. Press and hold TIME SET/CHECK/>> until you hear it beep twice. 2. Press ANNC/DAY/<< and the machine will say a day. Keep pressing that button until you hear the correct day. 3. Press REC and the machine will say the hour. Keep pressing it until you hear the right hour. 4. Press >= (the play/pause button) until you hear the right minute. 5. Once you've gotten the correct day and time, press TIME SET/CHECK/>> to save it.
While you're doing this, you can't let the machine sit idle for more than 5 seconds at a time, otherwise it will exit the time setup and you'll have to start over again. Good luck!

HOW DO i SET TIME ON A 43-3829 ANS MACHINE???

Hello,

One thing Radio Shack's answering machine [model number 43-3829], is NOT, is intuitive. But I guess you know that already. ;-)

To set the date and time, perform each of the steps below in quick succession, otherwise the machine will drop you out of the process and you’ll have to start over. You have about five seconds between each step, so try and make a mad dash for the finish line (Steps 4.-5.).

Setting Date and Time on Your Answering Machine:

(To set Day…)

1. Turn the answering machine on and hold down the TIME SET/CHECK/>> button until it beeps twice.

2. Press ANNC/DAY/<< repeatedly until the correct day displays / is indicated.

(To set Hour…)

3. Press REC repeatedly until you reach/hear the correct hour.

(To set Minutes…)

4. Press >|| (PLAY) repeatedly until you hear the correct minute(s).

(To Review/Confirm...)

5. Press TIME SET/CHECK/>> once. The machine will play the time and day you entered.

Note:

To exit/cancel the time- and date-setting mode, press ON/OFF/STOP once.

Hope this helps! If you have additional questions, please let me know and I’ll do my best to help.

Phone beeping!

on some phones the beep refers to a voice mail message that has been left on your answerphone which will be left at the BT server, you can dial 1571 to retrieve the message. Other than that if you have re registered the phone correctly following the instructions on page 22 of the below manual, return the set as faulty. http://media.venda.com/btshop/ebiz/btshop/invt/cay222/freestyle2200.pdf
