Question about Lenovo IdeaPad G530-3331Ue PC Notebook

1 Answer

I have Lenovo G530. I have it for only 3-4 months. The problem is, it takes the computer (laptop) approximately 60 sec. to open a directory, such as My computer, My documents, any other directory on the Desktop. Same happens when i try to close the window that was very slowly opened. It doesn't include other files, just directories that has files in it. I only use 5-10 Giga out of the computer's hard drive so there is no massive load on the memory or something like that. thanks for the help in advance.

Check the system status (Start, Control Panel, System) to make sure that the system senses the full amount of memore on your system.
Check the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) Performance to check the Physical Memory being utilized.
If these are as expected, you may have a virus.
Run a virus scan such as McAfee, Norton Anti-Virus, or Kaspersky to clean any viruses. You may also want to run a registry cleaner such as System Mechanic or RegCure.
These will clear the majority of the problems in your described situation.
Let me know if these work. Thanks

Please help me : :' my pc is lenovo g500 and i forgot password bios who help me please

Hi,

I do google your problem and look to the lenovo G500 manual.
here's the manual says.

sources: http://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/user_guides/g410_g510_ug_en.pdf

BIOS password problems I forgot my password. • If you forget your user password, you must ask the system administrator to reset your user password. • If you forget your HDD password, a Lenovo authorized servicer cannot reset your password or recover data from the hard disk. You must take your computer to a Lenovo authorized servicer or a marketing representative to have the hard disk drive replaced. Proof of purchase is required, and a fee will be charged for parts and service. • If you forget your administrator password, a Lenovo authorized servicer cannot reset your password. But in my own way of troubleshooting.
1. open your Lenovo G500
2. Check your motherboard and look for bios/cmos battery.
3. Remove the battery
4. Get flat screw driver then put it between two pins where the cmos battery attached.
5. Hold it for 10 to 15 sec.
6. Put the cmos battery back and the motherboard
7. Power it up and holla the bios setting has been reset to default.

Lenovo Lenovo3000V200 Laptop Computer PC Notebook driver

The same model Lenovo can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your Lenovo, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

Slow internet on lenovo u350

There are so many reasons can cause a Lenovo U350 running slow than it used to, it is hard to identify just what might be dragging down your Lenovo's performance, let alone implement the necessary technical adjustments to fix it. So if you want to address the issues more easily, I'll recommend you try a Lenovo speed up software.

Over 10+ small utilities packed into one to help detect & fix all slowdowns in 1 click.

Good luck!

I have lenovo 3000 G530 laptop which turns off automatically after 15 sec when turned on. All the lights are blinking when restarted. But again turns off itself.

The problem is most likely caused by the DC jack in the laptop, "common problem" the computer must be dismantled down to the motherboad level and the plug resolded on the flip side of the board, also a can of compressed air will do wonders cleaning the cooling fan and heatsink and open port area's.

Try to drain the electrostatic charge of the motherboard. Take out the battery and unplug the power adapter from the computer. Press and hold the power button for 10 secs. Put everything back in then tunr on the computer and observe the issue. If same thing will happen then the problem is somewhere in the motherboard connecting to the battery terminal. You nedd to call Lenovo Support at 18774536686 then option number 2 for repair of the computer.

Welcome to Fixya

Looks like the LCD has a problem. You can try to do basic torubleshopoting first by draining the electrostatic charge of the motherboard. Take out the battery then unplug the power adapter from your computer. Press and hold the power button for 15 secs. Put everything back in then turn on the computer. If same thing happened after doing this procedure then you need to contact Lenovo for repair of this computer. The number is 18774536686 then press option 2.

Hi. Since the computer is turning on we may try draining the electrostatic energy of the motherboard. Take out the batery and unplugged the power adapter from the wall socket. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs and put everything back in then turn ON the computer. If same problem appears then this cold be an LCD problem.
