Can't see pictures on the computer

When i put the disk in the reader, after a certain set of pictures, it will not show pictures, just random symbols, and not allow them to open. The pictures show on the camera with the disk in it though.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a Pentax

It is quite possible that your home system does have a virus in the system causing a registry issue. If possible use a good anti virus as the one at your work place and doa scan to trace out any malwares in the PC. You can also down load a registry cleaner like "log on to www.advancedsystemcare.com" and install the software to do a full registry cleaning. I am sure after this your PC must accept the memory or else ther could be an issue with the memory card drive/interface. Open system- device manager- try to reinstall the drivers for this port.
If this wont help try the system to an earlier restore point. Open control panel-backup/restore- set to earlier date.
Uninstall the camera software and reinstall, then connect and see if it detects. The memory can be formated on your work PC and then tried once again.
I hope this must solve the issue. Please give me a feedback. Good day

How to upload pictures in digital camera?

The best way to upload pictures is through a card reader, either built-in or connected via USB or FireWire. The card will appear to the computer as another disk drive, and you can use the operating system's features to drag and copy the files from the card to the computer. Or you can any photo cataloging program.

The card reader is likely to be faster (certainly no slower) than using the camera for the same purpose, and won't run down the camera's batteries.

Look for the CC/Text button on the remote. The TV is in the TEXT mode and is showing garbage that is being sent by the broadcaster, You need to turn the CC/TEXT mode off.

I took 300 pictures on my Nikon Coolix P60. Image number 4 is not coming up and so I cannot download my pictures

If you use a usb card reader you can avoid the problems that happen between the camera and computer. Just plug the reader in, put the card in it, open my computer and it should show up as something like Removable Disk(G:)nikon. Double click it or right click and hit explore and it will open a normal explorer window with all the pictures on the card. The same process usually works with just the camera plugged in via a usb cable and bypasses the transfer software. Just drag and drop them where you want them.

The camera erased all my pictures and it will not format the disk

Have you tried to put the card in a card reader and connect it to your computer? Card readers can be purchased at just about any store that sells electronics or camera supplies. They cost around $20 or less. You put the card in the card reader, attach it to your computer and click on start and then my computer. You should be able to see something that says digital media or mass storage. Highlight that and that right click. It should give you the option of formatting the card. It will erase everything and format it for you. Then you can try it in the camera. If this doesn't work then it should be looked at. Good luck

Have an Olympus Stylus 850 SW...........How do I down load photos from my Favorites in camera to a computer. Is this even possible? thanx ernie

yes this is possible all you have to do is follow these instructions:

there is two ways to load pictures from your cam to pc:
step 1
youll need a card reader to put in the memory card to a usb port.
A.then the computer will recognize the device as a FLASH DISK/ REMOVABLE DISK.
B.some pc will automatically open once you inserted the card reader to the usb port "click open containing folder". if the pc does not open automatically open my computer and find the "falsh disk/removable disk" and click.
C.once inside find the DCIM folder this contains your pictures taken from your cam.
D. now you can choose a picture you like to be transfered or copy to your PC
E. save picture in a folder that you ca easily remember

step 2
need a usb wire to connect cam to usb port
A. attach wire from your cam to usb port/pc
B. your cam will show options choose storage data. the other options requires a software
C.same as step 1 from B-E

i hope i was able to help you! good luck!

Well i have a DXG 3.0 megapixel video camera im having problems uploading pictures to my computer.Ive put the disk in that it came with but that doesn,t even work.So im pretty much running out of options...

Highly recommend that you consider using a card reader to download your pictures. You insert the camera's memory card into the reader, and then insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. The card then shows up as a hard drive so that you can simply copy/paste or drag your picture files onto your computer. Card readers are much more faster in downloading pics, do not require the use of your camera's batteries, and provide much more reliable downloading of the pictures (fewer errors). They're also VERY inexpensive these days. Here are some examples from Amazon:

The DXG uses SD cards:

Photos randomly show in vertical and horizontal position

Th full defect in detail would help. But dropping any digital camera can lead to numerous problems which will call for repair.
The problem here is not defined enough for me to see what your real problem is.
Some suggestions:
Reset all your settings from the menu.
Use a card reader instead of using the camera to get your pictures on to your computer.

RE: software installation problem

Right now I am going to go backwards----

Memory Card, when you put the card in the camera, you need to format it. With most cameras, you go to the Menu, scroll through the menu and find memory card, format, click on it and the camera will format the card for the camera.

Once formatted, you set the camera to use the memory card, also in the camera.

Now all pictures will go to the memory card.

If you have a computer with a memory card reader, you put the card in the slot on the computer and the computer will recognize it. Go to Start---Computer---double click on the memory card---your pictures should show up. Usually with Vista you will get a box that pops up after inserting the card that asks you want you want to do. Such as view files, transfer pics to a certain folder etc.

***Make sure you are using a memory card that is compatible with the camera. This does not seem to be a newer model so an SDHC card probably will not be compatible. An SD card would be. If we cannot find a drive don't fret, using a memory card you do not need the driver for the camera.

Do you have the disk? I have gone to ApexDigital website, and cannot find any drivers for the camera. They show the camera, but no downloads. I will keep hunting for you but in the meantime:

On the camera there should be a serial number, look on the bottom of the camera, if you can find one, give me all the numbers you find. I will go from there.

Don't give up yet!
