Re: The door seal on a Bosch WVT1260DB01 FD8609 has
There is another clamp or spring depending on which is fitted.
Turn the door seal in on it'self, and you should be able to feel or see the second retainer, if it is a spring, get something to hook it out with, if it is a clamp, then it will have to be unscrewed.

You need to make sure that if you had the watch band adjusted they did not adjust it at the clasp. When you adjust the watchband links should be removed if you adjust it at the clasp the band keeps pulling open. When you open the clasp fully make sure the pins are on the end holes. If the pins are in the end holes then, the clasp is probably sprung somehow and you will need a new one or have a jeweler or watch repairman fix it! You may also be able to order a new clasp from manufacturer! Hope this helps!!
you will need to remove front panel 2 screws at bottom behind kickpanel removed with one screw next to filter cap one more screw behind soap draw ,then remove steel spring clamp holding door seal to outer cover push seal into drum so as not in your way pull down front panel it will then come towards you remove door lock connection and lift away fromt panel this will expose drum front there is another spring clamp on back edge of seal remove this and pull away seal reverse procedure to refit new one may need some detergent on back of seal to make refitting easier.
Most bosch front panels can be removed by removing soap disp. then 6 screwss top/ bottom .remove door interlock..The boot seal is held by a spring ring onto the outer drum...you may find video on this @ utube...hope this helps
you will need to remove front panel this is quite easy, turn off mains open door and look for steel band spring holding front lip of door seal this needs to be removed it will be tight but will pull off, push door seal into drum so as out of the way, look at bottom of panel you will find 2 or 4 holding screws dependent on age of appliance undo these ,there is one other screw to undo behind the soap drawer take out draw and remove screw it is bottom r/h/side one you can then pull front panel away you need to disconnect door lock plug just pulls out.
remove panel out of the way and you will see another steel band holding back of seal to wash tub remove this and pull of door seal. reverse procedure to fit new one a little washing up liquid may help reassembly fit panel etc run check for leaks.
You will achieve nothing by removing the door seal .
Depending what is in there, better to leave alone and trust it will find its way into the filter.
If it is anything substantial then it involves major work.
un-plug the washer take the lid off now open the door undue the clasp that goes around the rim of the door seal on the outside of the washer (look carefully) once done the door seal should push into the washer now if u look into the washer from the top at the front though u will see a another clasp going around the door seal on the inside of the washer this is a screw un-screw it once done then the door seal should pull out repeat backwards to replace it m8
