download themonto a location; if the driver is in a zip format, unzip it,if itzin.exe form, just run it; if done manually it'll ask for the correctdriver and location; relocate the path and a.inf file (wat it'll askfor)....goto the device manager n verify, if installed properly..!!
also download n install "k-lite mega codec pack"....

if notfixed try using a standby pci snd card (this step will b applicable fordesktop users, in such case it'll b a confirmed case of ur system boardis likely to b defective)..

but always better to consult ur system admin/vendor....

Hello you can download the driver here:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5GL-MX&p=1&s=22

By selecting windows xp, and open the Audio folder, and click global for download.

The audio file needs to be unziped, before you install the driver.

Reboot after the install is done.
Update the other drivers, if any missing.

The audio file is newer present, in the xp installation file.

Good luck
