Unable to receive/transmit faxes..was working great..had incoming/outgoing tel lines checked. Unfortunately..no manual for product.

The manual I need is for the Laser Class 8500 plain paper facsimile and not the BJ 8500. If you can find the one I need, I'd be all so grateful.

Thought this could be a problem with Laserclass 8500 transmitting and receiving faxes. The telephone service is a comcast dedicated fax line. The came out about the fax problem when I thought it was the line and not the fax. I'm still leaning towards the telephone line and not the fax.

Does anyone have any idea and can expand on my issues.

    Thanks,

#1 Make sure that there is a Display reading.

Describe to me what happens, do you see anything happening on the display. Make sure you have the tel cord plugged into the Line jack

Canon Laser Class 3175 facsimile, incoming faxes are being saved in memory, will not print. Cannot clear error message "check paper size".

The problem is that you have a fax saved in memory that is the wrong size for the paper you have in the drawer. Probably it is a legal size, whereas you have letter size in the drawer.Just place some legal size paper in the by-pass tray to print.

Sending and receiving problems

Where the telephone line comes in from the wall, make sure that it is plugged in the "line" or "wall" port. There is probably another port call "tel" or "acc". If the line is plugged into that port you will still get a dial tone but you are not connected to the fax's modem. You hope that's it. Ed
