Re: cd put in drive, is stuck and will not open. Have
Power down. Now power back up and press the eject button at the top of the keyboard and hold until disc ejects. If that don't work, then you gonna have to open this thing up and physically take the disc out cause something is blocking it from ejecting.

In case you're not able to eject the disc using the eject button, you can try right clicking on the CD/DVD drive under 'My Computer' and clicking on eject. If that fails as well, you can try to eject the disc manually by pushing a straightened paper clip or a pin into the tiny hole on front of the CD/DVD drive. You should be able to eject it using the last method.
1) restart mac and press down the trackpad button after you hear the startup noise
that does not work try opening up disk utility and click on the icon of
your disk under the left hand column then go up to eject button and
3) or open up terminal found in the utilities folder within your applications folder and then type in drutil tray eject and then press return
what to do is try pick up your macbook tilt the imac to the one side
and press the eject key and hopefully the effect of gravity will allow
the CD to fall out.
However, I would say that DVD drives in all macs are a bit suspect and if your
macbook is still under warranty or under AppleCare take it back to the
Apple Store and tell them that the DVD drive is faulty and they should
replace it free off charge.
remove drive out there's 4 screws below drive remove them, you should be able to open drive in 2 bits remove cd put all back together ;) you may have 1 or 2 more screws just remove them to open drive in 2.
Place your laptop on a flat surface always. It give some tilt on already cramp space on the cd drive. It could make disc hit something inside to make it stuck so it will not spin and read. It also misaligned mechanism inside the drive to make a full eject.
Use my computer and select the drive (eg drive E:). From pull down menu "File" select "eject". While the disk door attempts to open (hear slight movement of tray) massage the door with your fingers. This is done by smoothing out the across front door panel with your finger tips and pushing in and releasing pressure from door. Door should slide open partially and close again. Repeat. The eject button nearside the disc tray doesn't seem to work as well as selecting "File" and "Eject" from the menu. Something to do with the door cycle is less with the direct eject button.
There is nothing wrong with Files or Windows Xp, your CD-DRIVE is stuck. There is a small whole on front panel of the Drive, try to put a long needle in it to get shutter out. Alternatively you can take help of any hardware professional, it will take only 2-3 mins.
In the front side of the dvd drive you will see a small hole ...so to eject that cd put one niddle in that hole and . Now
press the button at just after that apply a force on niddle .suddenly
you will notice that cd will come outside ,if not try more times and
you will learn to eject the cd when you are unable to do it by pressing
the eject button... ------------------------------------------- Low feed backs hurt my
