Sounds as if you are either sucking air around the intake manifold where the carb bolts up or you have trash in your carb, or fuel line...possibly the inline filter. Make sure its not the air issue, make sure you are getting gas to the carb, in adequate quantities. If so, then you likely have a blockage at a jet. I offer this response becahse it sounds like your machine is starving for fuel or getting too much air in your mixture. Good luck, I hope this is very helpful.

Carb setting on cs 510 evl?

Hoping this is echo? If so screw L and H all way clockwise till stop then back each out 1 1/2 turn. Start and let warm up hold throttle to max rpm and adj. The H to max rpm then let idle and adj. L until it idles good and has very little hesitation when throttle is squeezed fast. Then adj H again to max rpm and then back off until it sort of growls not squeel.

My poulan wild thing will start but will not stay running without holding the throttle. What should I do?

Get some sta-bil fuel stabilizer. add twice the amount recommended on the bottle for storage to your mixed gas. Empty out chainsaw tank and refill with the new mix. Rub for 2 minutes, then shut off. Remove cover over carb and spray inside carb, soaking it down good and cleaning all internal surfaces visible - allow to sit overnight.
Next day
Spray down carb with carb cleaner for about 15 seconds. Start saw, allowing 2 minutes to warm up and reduce choke. If saw stalls, restart and spray inside carb as it runs with choke on - keep motor at the highest rpms you can as you spray - spray in 2 second bursts, not allowing motor to stall from spray. If it stalls, change sparkplug and try again. You have varnish build up in the carb and are trying to remove it so the carb will work without the choke. This may take some time but it is the exact procedure I used for my Poulan Team Realtree last spring - I spent about an hour spraying and staring before it ran without the choke.
Good luck!!

Toyota Echo Automatic 2000 model. Stalls at low revs and shudders when taking off slowly. Replaced spark plugs fuel filter and air filter didnt seem to make any difference. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fuel problem. Check fuel pump and fuel rail. Do a fuel line pressure test. Try cleaning inside of throttle body really good and also the TPS at that location. There's many things that can make a car run bad.

I have a 2002 hyundai elantra I have replaced the alternator and got a new battery well it ran for one day then while driving it the next day there was a big clunk like something fell out of the motor then...

crank sensor will cause similar stalling issues. You may have got a bad alternator, if the battery light is on after you jump it, probably needs a new, new alternator. make sure all your connections are tight and plugged in, both on battery and alternator.

Cleaned carb on echo headge trimmer how do i redo

It will depend on what type of carburetor you have. You can go to this website and enter your model and it should give you the correct settings. If you cannot find the info, start with each about 1 1/2 turns out and go from there. A little hit and miss and you will figure the correct setting. When setting the high speed, you want to hold the throttle wide open and slowly adjust the screw. It will suddenly start to run very smoothly, and that's a good setting for the high speed.

Stihl blower - full throttle it stalls out. low speed ok. have replaced fuel line, spark plug.

Your carburetor needs cleaned or you need a carb. kit depending on how old the carb. parts are. If you need tips on carb. cleaning, feel free to ask.

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
