Question about SmartDisk FireLite XPress USBFLXP60 60 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive
I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11 on an iMac G5.
The display on my new Smartdisk Firelite XPress starts with "SPYQ"
rather than "Firelite XP" and the date is "July 15, 2107" rather than
the date of last use. It is working OK otherwise. How can I get it to show the correct name and
date? It doesn't seem possible to change either in Firelite XPress Notepad.
The icon on the desktop is still coming up as Firelite XP, so I don't know where the SPYQ has come from. I'm now worried it might be something to do with spyware.
Any help appreciated!

It seems that you will lose your files. These file already
infected with virus, and corrupted it. There's no other
way but to reformat your smartdisk.

I have this external drive and the truth is that it is very good. But I have a s e doubt that the digital display does not turn me, and I do not know if it is broken or is it because only you connect the USB cable and did not put the current transformer 5Volts. I need someone to help me and tell me what has to be repudiation. Thank you very much!

Go to the applications folder and then utilities open Disk Utility in the left box select you firelite and then clcik on the erase tab to your right. You can then select how you are going to format the hard drive standard for using with Mac only machines is Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or if you want to use with both PC and Macs is MS-DOS (FAT). Then name your drive and click on erase. Hope this helps.
