Question about Campbell Hausfeld 5 Peak / 1.7 Running HP, 17 Gallon Husky Air Compressor
Husky Air Compressor Model # H27508UWK has LOUD/OBNOXIOUS rattling noise which appears to be coming from the crankshaft & Fan area when it is running. Belt is fine and not overly worn. When powered off connecting rod has lots of play and moves freely on crankshaft. I'm thinking this free play is making this noise. What is the fix action? Bearing replacement, or something else. I do have the Operations manual that has an IPB so giving me the name/number of a needed part will work.
Buddy im an engineer on these machines for 30 years and when this problem has occured believe it or not but it cheaper to buy another pump unit or compressor plus its the hardest job getting the crank out so your choice bud
