Question about Toshiba Satellite M100 Notebook
Hi guys... need help pls.. its driving me nuts lol... my f10 light is permanently on... cant use my keyboard at all...tho when i hit the shift key it switches to the f11 key but does not stay on this...i have plugged in an external keyboard meantime... also its having probs when i try to restart it.. i end up havin to shut it down & just restart it as normal...
any help would be gratly appreciated!!
Do you mean the little light below the keys? Just hit the "FN" (usually on the lower left of the keyboard between CTRL and ALT key (you may have tapped it accidentally) and that will turn them off.

I agree with comment above - This does appear to be letting you know you need a new kepboard. and/or a new mouse. Sometimes you will also get a warning sound. Yes, the notebook will still start up, as there is nothing wrong with the motherboard/hard drive. but there is sort of a cool start up signaling system that catches your attention and lets you know what's wrong. If you look at the icons on the f10 and f11 keys you will see a keyboard and a mouse? or fan? these are the items that no longer function, although the motherboard itself still works.
