I receive an Error Code 6901 on my MX725 printer, what can I do?

It usually means that it needs to be cleaned.
Take out the cartridges and look to see if there is build up.
That normally causes the error.

If there is no paper jam, then your unit needs servicing. Go to www.usa.canon.com (in the U.S.) and they will advise.

I have Canon Pixma IP4500, got a Service Error 6B10, How can I fix it without sending it to Canon Centre? because I also got inktank system installed.

If you have disassembled the printer and after putting it back together again, this error pops up, things migt not be as bad as they seem.
Turn the printer on its side and remove the bottom paper tray. You'll see the gap where the tray normally slides into. On both sides you'll see a spring loaded lever. Check that the springs are fitted properly and the levers move smoothly. The small lever is the one that takes care of the paper detection, but if the big one does not move properly, you'll end up with the error too. In my case, the spring got twisted underneath the big lever and that gave rise to the 6b10 error. HTH.

6B10 problem

Hi,

If you still need the user guide, you may find it here: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=12804

I'm afraid that here is already a mechanical problem on your printer if displays 6B10. It's a paper feed sensor error on your printer that means you need to have it serviced with an authorized canon technician.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
