Hi GodblessU. Thanks for your hasty response. I have noticed the heater gas coils on a part finder site but my machine is only 12 mths old? Thanks for the user manual aswell but already have 1.its a repair manual i could with really or componant blow up?Like i said the filter was clogged up and now cleared.do you think it being clogged up for a while could cause thermostat to fail?As the machine heats up on wash the element is still ok and as its only 12 mths old the ges coil should be? so can you tell me where the thermostat is and if its yhe themistor(dryer duct) where is that? GodblessU. Thanks.Bazz.

I'm not familiar with your particular combo, however I am versed when it comes to dryers and they all work pretty much the same, but with only slight variations, the problem that you describe sounds like a defective element. As far as getting to it, I don't have a manual, but do a lot of repairs without one. Locate your element and see if it is burned, or broken. One thing is sure, it is not heating up. Good Luck. I hope you find this very helpful!

Hi,
if it's not heating then your thermostats are bad. The most likely cause is that either your vent is clogged (just disconnect the vent to check and see if this fixes the problem). If it doesn't fix the problem, which it probably won't then it means that your dryer gas coils are wearing out. Here are what the dryer coils look like and a place and part number so that you can purchase them if you like.
If the coils are bad it will heat slightly in the beginning of the cycle and it will slowly open less and less and eventually won't heat anymore. The igniter will still glow and turn on and off but the gas will stop releasing. The gas coils are located in the front of the machine on the base attached tot he burner assembly.
when the unit is running the igniter will come on and off.
take the top off, then you take the front panel off. The gas valve assembly is located in the front bottom of the dryer under the drum .

There is a lint filter right under your washer door. You push that lid open, and you will find the lint filter. I have the same machine. but min is an xqg50-11. Is that a washer/dryer combo?

We have a combo dryer and washer. Washer is A2444330KH. Leaves lint on cotton shirts, have cleaned the filter no help. Any ideas? David

Dryer lint not only presents a problem by cluttering up your clothes with white specks, but it can also lead to a dryer fire. While it is impossible to completely eliminate dryer lint, you can take action to drastically reduce lint and the potential problems that come along with excess dryer lint. If your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, you see no lint on the lint screen, the clothes are very hot after drying or you find excess lint on the clothes after drying, you probably have a problem with accumulation of dryer lint in the dryer vent.
Use a dryer vent cleaning brush and clean the dryer vent, or hire a professional to clean the exhaust vent behind your dryer. If your dryer vent is clogged, it will create excess dust in the dryer and on the clothes. The excess lint can eventually catch on fire given the heat load of the dryer.

No heat in dryer. This is a stacked dryer/washer combo. The dryer is electric. The drum turns and timer works but there is no heat in the dryer or exiting the vent. The washing maching beneath the dryer...

The element to heat the dryer has gone out. You removed the back of the dryer to remove lint you will need to remove the back of the dryer again to access the heating element. It is in the lower left or right hand corner (depending on model) and looks like the inside of a toaster oven small thin wires. Take the assembly out (make sure the unit is unplugged always) get the model and serial # and purchase replacement from an appliance parts house.

Good Luck hope this helped you some

Ariston a1600wd not working

There is a filter of sorts in the pump inlet pipe, its a big item catcher coins etc, but thats got nothing to do with the module error wich is a pricey item at £120! I've had one go already and in the last year, a inlet valve plus a control pcb panel in fact its almost a NEW machine! i'll never buy another hotpoint or ariston again. The machine is two yrs old!

Ariston washer/dryer. Dryer not working

Assuming everything else is working, it sounds like your heating element is burned out. Two years is a little short for the typical life span but not unthinkable.

Here's a photo of the part for your unit at a site that sells them. If you pull the back panel off and trace the wires, you should be able to find this part easily. It is designed to be replaced.
