I have a Harmony 1000i remote that isn't responding to touch on the screen. I can't turn it on or off either. The battery is fully charged.

Hi. Try the following steps to get this fixed.

1. Remove the battery, press and hold the 'OFF' button, and re-insert the battery. The screen will display 'Safe Mode!', or the 'Activities' button will be lit.
2. Connect your remote to the computer.

3. Launch the Harmony Remote Software, and log in.

4. Click "Downloads" at the top and click "Firmware".

5. The remote will go through the firmware update.

6. Select "Yes", and click NEXT to update the remote.

Now, put the remote back into safe mode, then take the battery out and re-insert it. The calibration screen should come up. Touch the red dots to calibrate the screen.

Hope that helps!

Remote says "blaster not responding".

Hi. If the blaster is not responding for your Harmony 900 remote, it could be caused by RF interference. Usually power cycling the blaster fixes this, but since that did not help I would look for sources of interference. This can be anything from an RF baby monitor, microwave oven, wireless Internet router, cordless phone, or any other RF device. If you have any of these things in the room where you use the blaster, try moving them out and testing it again.

Low battery icon on, won't recharge

Hi. If you do some research, you will find that this is a common issue with the Harmony One remote. I suggest using an elastic band to hold the remote firm onto the charger. That works for me.

I can't turn the closed captioning off. I have went to device tv tried turning cc off. It won't turn off

If you are able to turn the closed captioning off with the original TV remote, then I suggest doing it that way. If you want that functionality on your Harmony One, you can use the original remote to teach the Harmony the closed captioning command. To learn commands, do the following:
1. Log in to the Harmony software. 2. On the "Devices" tab, click "Learn IR" next to the icon for your TV. 3. At the bottom of the screen where it says "MyNewCommand," enter the name that you want the command to have, and click "Learn." 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to learn the button. 5. Update your remote.

My LCD screen on my Logitech isn't working. It is black but blue when it sits in the cradle for charging.

Hi.
With Harmony remotes, when they get old, often the LCD screens fail. I had this happen to my Harmony 880, and updating the firmware solved it for a while, though the solution was not permanent. To update the firmware on your remote, log in to the Harmony software and click "Downloads" at the top of the screen. On the next page, click "Firmware" and follow the steps on the screen.
Hope that fixes it for you.

Logitech harmony 1000i remote

If uprating the firmware has not fixed it, then it would seem to be a hardware failure. Is the remote still in warranty? If so, you can call Logitech to get it replaced.

Touch screen not responding to any commands

I tried the 2 solutions i was given but it still didn't fix the problem, I ended up calling logitech tech support and they advised me to install the software and download new programs for the remote, after about 1/2 hour and recalibrating the complete software/ firmware the problem was fixed.

Harmony 1000 Remote

Had the same problem.

My solution was.

  1. Boot remote into safe mode (Insert battery whilst holding down the power button)
  2. Update firmware from Logitech.
  3. Now this is the painful bit.... It will get to abou 42% then it will reboot. You wiil need to press and hols the power button down as soon as the screen goes blank. You will need to do this again at around 60%. If you select show details when updating the firmware you will see it say 'Rebooting remote'.
  4. Follow the remaining prompts.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
