If it is not a normal mouse then From the Control Panel->Add Remove programs remove the mouse drivers. and reboot the laptop. Else go to Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device manager. Remove the mouse that is installed there. DO NOT REMOVE THE TOUCH PAD. And compute happily ever after.

My mouse pad and two click bars do not work? a wireless mouse does work though. why isnt it reading my finger across the pad when i want to use it instead of the wireless mouse?

You may have it disabled. Press and hold the "fn" key then and press the key that has a symbol for the touchpad on it. For my satellite it is the F9 key. Then give it a shot. It should work.

The cursor of my toshiba satellite has gone out of control .

You can try reinstalling the driver. I'm not sure how old your computer is or how much use it's had, it could be that the touch pad is worn out and needs to be replaced. You could try using a plug in mouse or track ball. Track balls work better with a laptop and are more like using a touch pad.

Please press Fn+F9 key to ensure the mouse pad isn't disabled. The key should have these symbols on it.

How do i turn off the internal mouse so i can just use a wireless mouse instead

internal mouse? if you mean the touch pad or that red ball thing thats in the middle of our keyboard, then i don't think you can turn those off. try going to Start>Control Panel>Printers and other hardware. maybe the option will be in there. if you want to use a wireless you need the USB "thing" and plug it in your laptop. you might have to put in a CD and install it first.

Re toshiba techra 8000

Some laptops have a touch pad between the keyboard and the edge of the laptop. This works like a mouse except you slide your finger around the pad to move the mouse pointer and the buttons next to the touch pad are the left and right buttons.
Other laptops have a small round button in the middle of the keyboard which is a mini joystick and it is used to move the mouse pointer around, it will have a couple of mouse buttons at the botom edge of the keyboard.
You can connect a normal mouse to your laptop, it is mush easier than using the laptop's touch pad or mini joystick.

Touchpad

This may be a simple driver glitch. Try uninstalling the touch pad drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the touch pad and reinstall the drivers. The touch pad either works or it doesn't, there's no in between, so if this doesn't work, then I'm afraid you'll have to replace the touch pad.
