Question about Mintek MDP-1030 Portable DVD Player

Battery life I want to lengthen the battery life by turning off TFT as the spec in the owner's manual say the battery lasts up to 4 hours without TFT. I cannot, however, figure out how to turn off the TFT.

Re: Battery life

If it has an exterrnal video plug, like an RCA jack you see on the back of a VCR, it means that when you close the screen(which is the TFT), it turns off, but the video will continue to play out of the external jack.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hi, i have a portable dvd player & the battery is 2 hours. now it only lasts 30 minutes. is there something i csn do to boost it or do i need a new battery. thank you, medina

Your best bet is simply to replace it with a more reliable battery. However, starting the dvd player without a disc so that the settings appear should allow you to change the options on the DVD player. This should allow for the brightness and picture settings to be adjusted to preserve battery to the best of the DVD players ability.

Step One: Remove Disc
Step Two: Turn On DVD Player
Step Three: Enter Settings
Step Four: Adjust the picture and screen settings to maximize the battery life (make the screen less bright for an example)

There may be a setting specifically meant to maximize battery life. Hope This Helps.

I have a portable DVD player,Yukai 700 I have charged the battery several times , but it only lasts five minutes in its dead. Once I charged it for three hours done for seven hours in the last time 24...

This means that the battery is unable to hold a charge any longer. THe only option in this case is to replace the rechargeable battery for your Yukai 700. A battery has a charge life meaning you can only charge it for a set number of times. It seems that it has already exceeded that.

The manual says it should last for 2.5 hrs after being charged 3-4 hrs. I charged my used one I just bought all night and can only get 20 min out of it. But when its plugged in, its fine.

Battery for remote of PDV288

Are you sure you got the numbers right? Anyway, according to all CR Lithium battery types are 3 volts. As long as they are the same size (or very close), either should work. One may last longer than another. Which one I cannot say without knowing the mAh or Ah rating (which stands for milliamp-hours or amp-hours). If it says on the battery (or its store packaging), the higher the number, the longer its charge capability.
