Loud squeaking noise when you start up the dryer could it be a bearing dull squeak not high pitched a little bit of a grind sound

It does sound like a bearing or at least a lack of lubrication. But it could also be belt slippage if it only happens at the start. If it is the bearing it would be continuous and slowly get louder and louder.

GE Harmony Dryer makes Loud Vibrating noise

If you can open the walls of the dryer up check all screws and bolts that hold things together. Some times they will vibrate loose causing parts to make a vibrating sound against the frame itself.. Eventually the loose screws will just keep getting looser. Even the screws on the walls of the unit should be tightened That could cause a lot of noise.

Magnatron suddenly making more noise. Much louder

Often over the years the Transformer laminations can loosen, from the on/off rising and collapsing magnetic fields, and then they sorta hum louder. I suspect this is what is going on. Shouldn't be too much of a worry.. keep an eye on it tho.

Loud noise

Sounds as though it could be one of the motor shaft bearings is worn or wearing, or might be working its' way out of the end housing it was pressed into. The best way to verify it is the motor bearing is to remove the belt drive from the motor pully and operate the dryer while you listen for the sound, if still there, you've isolated the noise to the motor and can explore further to see what exactly is causing the problem.

If that isn't it, please provide the brand and model number so we can zero in on the probable issue.

The most likely cause is the front drum supports. There are 3 or 4 teflon strips (about a half inch wide and 2 inches long) on the top of the front panel that the dryer drum glides on. When these wear down, the drum can scrape on the plastic that holds them or on the metal frame around the door frame. Another possibility is if the drum touches the dryer exhaust vent pipe, most often only if the dryer is vented out the bottom of the dryer and the vent pipe has shifted up just a bit, allowing it to contact a spot on the drum with each revolution.
