Question about Dell Dimension 3100 PC Desktop
How to fix NTVDM CPU error
Something is amiss with your system.
That error message is associated with problems involving 16 bit
applications (Windows 3.x or MS-DOS) and both cmd.exe and regedit.exe
are full 32 bit Windows apps.
This sounds like it may be caused by an incomplete removal of one of
the trojans that blocks the use of Regedit.
You did not mention the specific products that you have tried. If you
have not previously used any of these you should try them:
Kaspersky Online Scanner http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Panda ActiveScan http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan
I highly recommend avg antivirus free version this is totally free and worked wonders for me
I hope that this is very helpful for you
best regards michael

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
