Question about Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher
The most common cause of problems on dishwashers installed by the builder are Installation issues. Usually, the drain hose is kinked and food particles accumulates on the hose until it clogs completely.
If you are planning to fix it by yourself, please be aware about this is not an easy job. Not nice also, it quite a dirty job.
First, Be sure the plug at the food disposer under the sink was knocked out completely.
Then, check the drain hose, be sure it doesn't have kinks. You sould be able to find clogs with a flashlight.
If still can't find the source of the problem, then major steps needs to be done. The drain pump may be the problem. Perhaps small bones, pieces of glass or something is jamming the pump.
In case you can find the source from the drain system, I highly recommend you to locate the model and serial number and contact the manufacturer for assistance or the builder. Perhaps the appliance still under warranty and you can get assistance for free from the manufacturer.
