Question about Kenmore 24 in. 17482 / 17484 / 17489 Built-in Dishwasher
Dishwasher will not drain. already cleaned out line.
The pump would be the first culprit to check. I believe that the pump in this model is electric and not driven by a pulley, so switching out should be easy. First you want to verify that you have power going to the pump while in the drain cycle. If you have power going to it and it's not pumping water out you can be pretty sure that is the problem. The front panel can be removed by removing the two screws at the bottom and lifting out. Now you can get a good look at the motor and pump.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
As the water did not drain completely then check the drain hose & drain pump filter located inside the front bottom access panel for any clogs/obstructions, if you have already cleaned these parts and the unit will not work then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
