Dismal mossberg 85 bolt

Like most bolt action bolts, you have to relieve the spring pressure. That means you need to pull back on the cocking knob on the back of the bolt. The bolt head will come off easily then. The bolt has to be in the exact same condition it's in when you **** the gun. Reverse to reassemble.

How doI disassemble a Mossberg 9200 semi-auto to clean it?

I wouldn't take it apart per-say. use some gun scrubber or brake cleaner. Be careful with the stock and take it off if the solvent would damage the finish.

Replace ignition lock cylinder

Hi Alex, The ignition assembly is mounted onto the steering column with blind bolts. These are special bolts designed in such a way that the heads break off when tightened to the correct torque. We usually remove them with a cold chisel and hammer. An alternative is to cut a slot into which a screw driver can be fitted. Regards John

Disassemble bolt on bolt action shotgun

Pretty much all bolt action bolts work the same. You need to relieve the spring force. That means pulling back on the cocking knob. The head will come off easily then. You need to have the bolt in the exact condition it's in when cocked, cocking knob back, to disassemble it. Reverse that to reassemble.

Mossberg model 88 manual

Open the slide and make sure it's empty....and then close the slide halfway so the bolt is halfway in the eject port. That unlocks the bolt lug from the barrel. Unscrew the barrel take down screw. Remove barrel. If the take down screw is overly tight, use pliers with a leather or canvas padding to avoid scratching the screw. When reassembling it, just tighten it tight by hand. Use no tools. It's not designed to tighten with tools. Hand tight is perfect.

HOW DO YOU DISASSEMBLE A MOSSBERG 20 GAUGE BANTUM

Same as all Model 500's. Bolt halfway open, remove barrel, remove trigger group pin, trigger group, both shell stops, bolt carrier, bolt, lifter. Reverse to reassemble. Seriously, head to youtube and watch a video. You can go step by step with the video. The only key spot you need to watch out for is the bolt/bolt carrier when you take it apart and put it back together. The carrier will just ever so slightly clear the front of the inner rail on the receiver....and when you out it back together, put the bolt into that spot, put the forearm back on so the action bars are down next to the bolt, and then drop the bolt carrier back in to link the bolt and action bars back together. Once the cvarrier is in that perfect spot, it'll drop right into the slots. Just slide it a hair forward so the rails slightly block it in and then do the stops. Next key spot....and this is one a lot of folks mess up so don't feel bad. You aren't alone. The pins in the trigger group have to be centered all the way to get the trigger group in right. Use your fingers to center them on both sides, slip the front edges into the trigger group hole to catch the two front tabs, and then GENTLY lower the group in and pin it. DO NOT FORCE IT IN!!! Those tabs break.

How do I disassemble the bolt on a mossberg 100 ATR

Apparently the three previous folks have no idea that a Mossbergt 100 ATR is a RIFLE not a shotgun. Regretfully it is a press fit at the rear (multiple splines, pressure fitted into multiple recesses). What that means in English is that it's a factory fix. Sorry!

I have a Mossberg 800ASM and the bolt just came out into my hand. How do I get it to go back in? It just doesn't seem to want to go.

Pulling the trigger while inserting the bolt will move the sear out of the way and allow you insert the bolt. This is the reverse of what may have happened when the bolt came out in your hand.
