This is an easy check, and it might fix your problem, though it also may be something else. Turn the circuit breaker for your dryer outlet off, then back on. The circuit breaker will be located in the main breaker panel of the house. It should be labeled "dryer" or something like that. It will be a double breaker, meaning that there are two breakers tied together physically.

I am wondering if one of the two breakers has lost contact or tripped. That could possibly allow the light to work, but prevent the motor and heat from working.

It's an easy check, and there is a chance this is all that is needed.

There are other possibilities, but this is a very easy noe to check, so why not start here?

The control panel will not work, no lights on panel.

First make sure you house fuse or breaker didn't trip. If you have power to the dryer house outlet, next check the connections where the big 220 volt power cord goes into the dryer. Should be a small access cover you can take off to look at the power cord connections. Sometimes when they are first installed they are not put on tight. Over time they over heat and burn at the connectors. If either side is burned that may be your problem. If all connectors are good, you could have 2 possible circuit boards bad. 1 would be the display board itself (the one with the touch screen) or the main PCB board under the control panel in a tan looking cover box.

Thermal fuse location

It's not a thermal fuse..You're getting power so issue is either the board or the fuse inside the board..that's what you should be looking at..All switches are mainly for safety

Dryer light bulb burned out

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
Light Socket

The light socket can get corroded or a wire connection can come loose. You will need to remove the front panel to access the housing on most dryers.

Door Switch

If your dryer has an interior light, it probably uses a standard 40-watt appliance bulb, but check your owner's manual to be sure. If the bulb is good but the light won't come on, check the door switch, which serves two functions: When the door is closed, it turns off the light and allows the dryer to start. When the door is open, it turns on the light and prevents the dryer from starting. To check the door switch check for continuity. You should have some when the door is closed and none when the door is opened. If not replace the door switch by removing the front panel.

It blows fuses or trips the circuit breaker

Electric dryers use 220 volts or two power lines of 110 volts each. Some components in the dryer need only 110 volts; the heating element requires 220 volts. So it's possible for one part of the dryer to be fine and another part to have a short circuit. Short circuits can be caused by the heating element, the main power cord, or any other part of the internal wiring. Loose connections on the power cord cause failures and or fires. This can be checked with the dryer unplugged and removing the service cover and visually check for burning and mechanically check for tightness.

If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the house wiring, fuse box, or circuit box. Contact a qualified electrician.

My GE Profile Harmony dryer won't dry. The drum is turning but the clothes just won't dry. Circuit breaker is not tripped.

Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance. Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct.

Hello all...I hope the answer to this problem is not too late. I had the same problem with my dryer, no air coming out the back. The GE Profile Harmony actually has a service mode that you access by unplugging power, re-plugging power and then holding the "My Cycles" touch button for a couple of seconds. The dryer's computer will actually give you an error code. Unfortunately, the problem can be related to one of two things, the variable dc blower motor Part No. WE17X10008 MOTOR ASM - BLOWER
or the Inverter PWB Part No. WE04X10120 PWB/PCB ASM-MAIN

The good news is, after you do the reset, there's a chance actually everything works fine and the dryers computer reboot will have fixed the problem. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me. jeryflores at the hotmale I think you can figure it out.

Best of Luck Ya'll

Did you check the terminal block where the cord plugs up and ohm the wires in the main cord? If thats not the problem then you might have a bad computer and or inverter.
