My pc says no audio output device installed, but in device manager it says its working properly and the drivers are up to date

Well it is possible that the audio driver installed is not the one compatible with you computer board. Try downloading the specific driver needed for your computer's official website. This should solve your problem.

My computer keeps saying i have no audio output device installed on my computer.

The audio circuit in your computer consists of:
1) the audio circuit which is integrated into your motherboard
2) the speakers

If it's a hardware issue then these are the possible culprits. It might also be a software issue such as audio drivers corrupted or audio device not set-up correctly.

Try booting from your "Resource CD" (it's a CD that has Diagnostics listed under contents) and see if the audio works. If so then it's not a hardware issue but software or setup issue.

Where do i find the volume icon?? it's lost somewhere and can't hear any volume?

Try this:

Go to click on "Start."
Go to "Control Panel."
If you're using XP, go to "Sound."
If you're using Vista/7, got to "Hardware and Sound."

If everything is grayed out on the sound control applet, it is possible that the hardware is disabled or the drivers for the audio device is not installed.

To check on the status of the hardware device:

Click on "Start."
If you have XP, click on "Run." type the command devmgmt.msc
If you have Vista/7, on the search bar, type Device Manager, then click on the first result.
It will display the Device Manager which allows you to check the status of the devices installed on your computer
Go to "Sound." Click on the "+" sign. Check if there are any devices with a red X or a yellow exclamation point.

If there is a device under "Other Devices" that says "Audio Controller," it means that the drivers for the device is not installed. If this happens, try looking up the specifications of your computer online to check for the specific audio device that you have and then download the drivers online.

Hope this helps! :D

No Audio Device?

Check in hardware manager that the audio system has been installed and is working. If it does not show in hardware manager, check in the system BIOS that the audio system is turned on. If turning on the audio system does not work, uninstall any drivers for the audio system and re-install the correct drivers. If you are using Windows XP, try and get the update software to install the updated drivers for you otherwise, go to the Dell website, input the PC's model and revision numbers and download the drivers from there.

"no audio device installed"

First check the device manager from the control panel. Check and see if there is a audio device detected and if it is a problem device. If the device has a problem try removing the audio software and then remove the audio device.then re-boot the computer and windows should detect the hardware and begin installing drivers. Make sure you have the updated drivers from Dell downloaded and the updated software. If it does not detect the hardware after re-boot you can try adding hardware manually in the control panel and have it auto detect any new hardware. If these thins do not work the audio card or built in audio may have stopped working. You can buy a basic PCI audio car for fairly cheap to install on your computer if you cannot get the audio to work.

No sound on 531s pc

Right click on My Computer and choose properties. Open the device manager tab and begin by checking for flagged hardware devices or unknown hardware devices.

This is most likely a driver issue. Search driver downloads for your model on the manufacturers site. Most onboard audio chipsets are AC`97.

Cubase audio problem

the settings in the cubase le - devices - device setup are not set properly or the driver has been removed from the computer.

Id suggest you remove both the cubase le and the hardware device you use with it, then reinstall the cubase and your device. you may need to set the setting again in the device setup and it should work fine.

Acer Aspire 5610

go to the device manager on your computer, and look at the Audio devices, and see if there is a yellow(!) next to anything, if not right click on the audio device, and select uninstall, say yes to all the prompts that follow, then reboot. When then computer boots back up it should show a found new hardware wizard, follow all of the on screen instructions and this should fix your problem.
