Want to synchronize my Ipone 4s with gmail

Download google sync and that will sync contacts calendar and notes to outlook and when you sync with iTunes it should copy from outlook. You might have to select outlook as a source in iTunes though.

Computer won't syronize palm m 515 handheld

Palm Desktop needs to be installed on the new computer to sync. The sync will copy most of the info on the pda onto the computer.

Palm m515 and new computer

go thru the stylus calibration .. set the clock and/or push next .. then push done .. that will get you back in operation .. click on the "Home" button until you see the "hot sync" icon .. click "hot sync" .. your user name is at the top right corner of that window .. just click "home" again to get out of that window ..

Sync only goes one way -- from palm to computer

Check the hot sync manager to set the flow of info from desktop to device during the initial restoration of data to your Palm. Afterwards, once you have all your info restored, you'll want the device(s) and desktop calendar to update each other, so make sure your settings in the sync manager reflect that, otherwise you'll continue to have one schedule overwriting the other.

Hope that helps. Let me know how you make out.

Help Dead Battery

When you recharge the palm, sync it again with your computer.

If the Palm has been synced with this computer, it will pull up a list of profiles for you to choose from.

If you select the profile name given to it before, it should restore everything you had on it from the last successful sync.

Lost calendar on hotsync

The information is unfortunately lost.

Unless you synced the palm on another computer, the palm only can back up the information when synced.

So if you sync it and the computer overwrites the handheld, the information never made it to the computer and thus cannot be restored.

The only thing you could check would be the backup folder in the palm directory under your profile name. Palm puts all of the .prc/.pdb files in there when you sync.

Tungsten E - HotSync with Outlook 2003

Don't skip the initial HotSync for secondary computer! Alright, I figured this one out on my own and figured I'd post what I'd learned so that others don't have to endure the teeth mashing, hair pulling, snarling frustration. (self induced as it may be) My experiences have taught me to not always trust a cookie cutter installation wizard...especially for custom app installations (ie: primary = home, secondary=work, total sync, no priority). So, I did not perform the initial sync during installation of the palm software fearing that the new installation would NOT recognize that the work computer was a secondary machine and resultantly wipe out the old palm data from the primary machine. Turns out, as I saw in many other unrelated posts, that it's difficult (if not impossible) to specify conduit direction to outlook 2003 outside of the initial sync (this prompted me to specifically look for conduit direction during install). So, this wizard is one I should have trusted...by mistake...because of weak program design. By the way...once I specified sync with outlook during the initial sync, EVERYTHING works fine despite not having installed the two "imperative" conduit updates (they were uninstalled after several previous failed attempts at this). Hope this helps
