I have a baxter oven single rack ant the burner dont allways come on

More than likely the element is going bad. Get your hands on a continuity meter, pull the element and touch the red wire to one end of the element; the black wire to the other. Move the element around a bit (bend it slightly). if the needle on the meter registers nothing or flips up and down on the register, you've got a dying element. If it were me, I'd go ahead and simply order a new element. They're not hard to remove or install (they either slip in, male to female, or involve the removal of several small screws. Obviously, make certain your oven is OFF when you repair it.

We cooked pizza at 500 something popped and now our oven cooks but not right , any ideas

If you have an electric range, look at both the top and bottom elements while oven is cold. Look for a rough spot like a hole in the element. You may have just burned out one of the elements. Sometimes they go bad without any marks. Turn on oven to about 350 and watch the bottom element to see if it gets red hot. Then set for broil and watch the top for the same red hot glow. If either does not glow red after 5 to 10 minutes, that element is bad.

The back of the dryer is red hot and smells like burning plastic when it runs

Don't use it until you fully check it out!!! If you are comfortable... unplug it and check for excess build up of lint in all parts Fan, element housing, exhaust outlet, and finally the hose and outside vent flap. If no excess amounts of lint than your element may have a "bad spot" and be shorting, which necessitates the element replacement. Good Luck!

Hi My dryer does not get hot. It seems the heating element has blown. It does have a smell to it similar to a hair dryer that has been over worked. I am not sure where to find the heating element to...

It is located in behind the drum. The heat sensor may be also gone and not the heat element. The sensor may be stuck in the spot where it turns of the element.....If u hold a lighter to one it should click to turn the heat element of at a certain temp.Hope this helps u out Ms Young.

My oven still doesnt work after replacing heating element

it could either be a hot spot in the element where it can no longer pass all the current needed for proper operation in heating(look for a discolored spot on it,it may be whitish and dimpled from heat) or secondly,it could be the oven thermocouple located on the inside top of the oven cavity

No heat it blow air and rotates

Hi,

your dryer may need a new heating element.
unplug and remove the back cover.
your looking for a grey rectangular box with red
wires coming out the bottom..
undo those wires noting location, (take picture )and the safety limiter wires also.
remove the box and put it on a workbench.
you need to remove the element out of that box now. there are a couple more screws that release the inner element.
study the element and look for the break in the element wire, you should be able to spot it.
you can get a replacement element at the sears appliance store outlet in your area for around 25.00

What do you mean by, "properly"?
Is it heating or not at all?
Is it not hot enough, or too hot?
Upper element is for broil. It may come on briefly during bake, but usually at half power. It doesn't glow red.
Does the bottom element glow red? If not, inspect lower element, which is the bake element, for pits and rough spots. These may be signs of failure.
UNPLUG STOVE!! Remove bake element and check for continuity. If it shows open, replace. You can probably take to parts store and they can test it for you.

Top element in oven not working

This "top element" is your broil element. It will only get red when broil is selected.
