Question about Televison & Video
If you get audio, no picture whatsoever, not even TV menu, screen is completely dark, sound is OK, then it is usually the ballast board.
The ballast board is an high voltage board powering the lamp or the CRTs.
If you get audio, and TV menus or PIP, but you have no raster, and the menus on screen are displayed correctly, then the fault is concerning either the video input/video processing on main digital board, or the optical group.
Lamp and ballast are working since you can see TV menus and closed captions.
Test the TV using different inputs and input cable (you may have gone through this already). Try at least two different inputs (eg AV cable, SCART, component , HDMI...)
Ensure you use Source/Input button to browse channels.
That can at least tell you if the problem is the video input, or the video processing.
Either than that you will need a technician testing the TV at component level to find the fault.
If you want to contact an authorized technician, or if you want to get a quote on repair, you can call the number listed on the owners manual.
