Our old Kenmore washing machine goes out of balance easily like the springs aren't tight enough. I need to make sure the springs are hooked in correctly. I need a diagram for Kenmore model # 110.82683810 serial # C64103712 of the tub and how the tub connects to the springs and frame.

wow that was great except the one thing I need is for Fig. 59 to be blown up to show where the springs are connected and how they are connected. I may just need the impossible without seeing another washer. Thanks!

Please see the following Sears Parts site for your washer.

Look at the "Machine Base Parts" section for a diagram.

Following is a Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for these machines with better diagrams for the springs and vibration pads.

Washing machine goes out of balance easily

It may be a broken spring holding the wash cylinder centered or you are over loading the machine.

Washer goes off balance so easily, no matter the size of the load, from towels to shirts. We checked the washing machine itself is level. It's so frustrating to have a small to medium load cause the basket...

The tub is out of alignment. The suspension springs are weak and must be tight, the tub must not shake,if so the dampers are faulty.
This suspension must be so rigid that it must not shake around freely . check the pulley arangement , the bearings at the bottom spindle, if out of balance. If there is any anomalies in this ddrive section it must be observed and checked.
A careful analysis is most important to having a first hand information.

Tub gets easily out of balance when washing towels or jeans. It pounds enough it walks across the floor

there are three or four balancing springs under the drum attached to the frame and drum carriage chances are that one of these springs has broken or come undone they only realy do alot during the spin cycle if you are ambitious turn off the water and unplug the washer pull the back off and have a look see underneath if you do find a broken spring with a pair of pliers bend a new loop in the spring and hook it back up Good Luck

I have a kenmore 80 series washing machine knocking at spin

This is a different one for sure,,, my guess here is the machine is out of balance for some reason. I would look to see if the three springs that hold the tub at the bottom are connected correctly to the frame, screws tight and all. and there will be one larger spring toward the rear that connects down low,,, make sure it is there and is connected too.
Only other thing could be the plastic and rubber coupling between the motor and transmission is damaged and need to be replaced. You must remove the motor to check this part for damage or wear.

Tub Slipping On Spin Cycle ( Direct Drive No Belt) Possibly Clutch ????

It is possible the rear counter balance spring has come off or the hole that the spring hooks onto has rusted. If the spring hook end has broken off you can often just bend a new hook part with a couple of pairs of pliers. If the hole in the washer frame has rusted, you will need to drill a new hole to hook the rear balance spring into. If the spring "took off" somewhere and is now missing, time for a new spring.

Out of balance during wash

Ok you need to check your machine is level- if not adjust feet. You aslo need to check the Bias spring is still attached if not get a new one or re-attach it. The Bias spring is a little spring that connects from the top of the front left suspention rod to the top of the plastic bowl cover (this spring is meant to help stop it going out of balance so easy. Maytag washing machine

Hiya .. would suggest you having a look at the balance around the drum, ( normally heavy concrete blocks)... locate the fixing bolts and tighten them up ....should sort your prob.
Also make sure that the washer is fairly even and tight on its legs.. this is what usually causes the problem in the first place..

Off balance during spin cycle

I have a Performa Model PAV3200AWW that would go unbalanced every time it would go into a spin cycle. I found the problem to be a worn out snubber. This is a plastic ring that is at the pivot point for the whole tub. It separates the metal to metal contact at the bottom of the washer pivot point. The part is less than ten dollars, but it is a quit a job to replace. I had to remove the whole tub to replace mine, but it did solve the problem. If you see a lot of plastic shavings around the pivot point, then this could be your problem.
