After 5 minutes the picture goes red

That model is famous for having CRT issues. Chances are the Red CRT or one of the CRT drive board is whats causing the issue. Usually if the set shuts down shortly after turning all red then its the CRT. But if it just turns red and keeps working it could be one of the CRT boards dropping out causing the Red to become dominate.

The red crt on my 55PW9363/17F keeps flashing and clicking i turn it down till its off and it stops. any suggestions?

sounds like the RED CRT Drive board has an issue. Most likely solder issues on the CRT socket on that board. If the board appears fine the CRT itself would be suspect then.

Samsung 26" (CRT) HDTV won't turn on...

Since the set works some of the time, I'd first look for poor connections. One thing to keep in mind is when the set does NOT work properly. does that occur more frequently with heat? cold? Humidity? If you can solder, first try resoldering any connecitons on the boards that appear grainy or have rings. If that does not resolve the problem, look for patterns for when the set fails. Those patterns will help to narrow down the possibilities.

Keep me posted,

make sure the video cable is inserted firmly. is it is, the video cable wires are loose inside the monitor which it is not getting the signal, telling it to go on standby mode.

On/off

This can be a short in the power supply, scan circuits, or the CRT circuit, or the CRT itself. The set would have to be troubleshooted by an experienced tech to find out the cause of the failure. I can tell you in advance that your set may not be worth to service.
