Question about Car Audio & Video
I have a 1999 mitsubishi montero sport and I took out the starter to replace it. I took off all of the bolts and wiggled it out of place, but next to where I took off the nut holding the wires in the back there is another wire connected by a little piece of plastic, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to unhook the plastic and wire from the starter, if someone could explain how to do it I would be very greatful. Thank you
All this is a a reference wire that tells the solenoid to kick on.....If it can make it anyeasier on your part.....invest in a female spade terminal.(wire connector) and test fit it on the new starter....make sure it fits snuggly on the new one....then simply cut the wire from the old starter...wire crimp the new one together...reinstall starter....install wires...and VIOLA!!! If i can help ya with anything else get back to me.... I HOPE I COULD HELP!!!
