From lowes or home depot, get a (1) can of contact cleaner and (1) can of canned air.. Remove battery, spray contact cleaner in open area, .. "fumes"... headset jack, power port, keys, back, . EVERY HOLE YOU CAN FIND. let it run out of phone and shake downward to remove. It will evaporate and dry fast so use canned air (with tube) in every hole also. then massage all the keys. put in a bag , ziplock type with uncooked white rice for about 4 hours. should help.

Phone is stuck on silent mode

"Silent Mode" is entered by pressing and holding the [ # ] key
on the handset for a few seconds.

The easy way to end "Silent Mode" is to go to the BASE and
press the [ANS ON/OFF] button to turn off the answering
machine system. (push the button, do not unplug the power)

"Silent Mode" will clear a moment later and you can again
turn on the answering machine system as desired.

Good luck!

Samsung grand stuck at Android system recovery 3e and even after rebooting it getting there only

Hello,
Try doing this
fortunately you will lose everything on your device unless you have it backup

  1. Press and hold Power key + Home or your volume buttons to power on the phone and bring up a triangle with an exclamation point inside next to a green Android graphic.
The background should be black and the lettering blue
  2. use Volume buttons to scroll up or down Highlight "wipe data/factory reset"
  3. Press the power button to confirm
  4. Handset will ask you to "Confirm wipe of all user data"
  5. Select "Yes -- delete all user data"
  6. Press power button "Ok" screen prompt to start wipeout of phone, handset will begin to format handset showing progress with multiple lines of ellipses (....)
  7. Handset may take from 5-20 minutes to format.
  8. When format is complete, press power button "Ok" screen when prompted to reboot (Reboot system now will be highlighted)
  9. You will see either an open box and the green android graphic when handset is rebooting
  10. Handset will be cleared of previous personal data, and you will need to start over with initial set-up process.

Uniden phone stuck at searching, not getting a dial tone

One thing to try is deregestering your phone and registering it with the base again.

Hole the # and 'End' key on the handset until the next menu appears (about 5 seconds). Select deregister phone (use the 'Menu' button). Do it again, but select "base unavailable". After that, set them in the base (not the handset charger) and they should register with the base.

This works on most Uniden model phones.

My cordless phone is stuck on base and i cannot get a dial tone or make a phone call. be nice if you can help, thanks :)

If it was super-glue'd I think acetone will unstick it :-)

You didn't mention a brand, but normally, our Panasonic phones go stupid about 3 times a year. Sometimes we can just turn the handset and base off, and power up the base then then handset and reset the units, but mostly we have to re-register the handset to the base. It's done in our case by selecting it as a menu item on the handset, then pressing the locator button on the base. It goes out and finds the handset and we're good for another couple of months.

Our receptionist's M7324 switches to handsfree mode even though she has used the handset to answer the call and still has the handset off the hook. What can I do do fix this problem?

Sounds like the handsfree button might be stuck down. Try slightly pulling up on the button and see if that changes to the handset.

Automatic recording?

Check that the record button on the player is not pushed in. It could be the button stuck behind the casing, or the microswitch on the main circuit board stuck against the switch mech. This should be apparent, as there would be no click when you push the record button.

Also check the REC button on the remote control.

Both of these potentially could cause the symptoms you describe.

The remote control for the later VR series does not, as you say, have an eject button. There is no alternative unfortunately.

Handset Buttons Stopped Working - Full Battery

Here is a link to Uniden's site, and on the right side of the page, there is a link for a download manual pdf and helpline
http://www.uniden.com/products/productdetail.cfm?product=TRU8885-2

also worth checking if any buttons are stuck, or if the handset is set to pulse rather than tone mode, or if it has had a tumble or knock, possibly the keypad connector has come loose .

Hope this helps.
