Curtis My imode (Model ip215)ipod function is not working right now. I can barely hear the volume. I have adjusted the volume on my ipod and still no improvement. Is there a factory reset? Am I missing something? I have had this device for 6 months and have had no other problems. THANKS!

Re: Curtis

WIth any doubt, the problem is the CD8227CP integrated. Only if you plug in a Speaker or headphone in the back green jack, you will obtain the sound through them. Any other case is necesary to replace the mentioned piece.

I hope this postcan help all of you.

Re: Curtis

The same thing has happened to me too. My warranty is still good but I've lost the receipt and I'm not willing to spend twenty dollars to ship it. What a waste of fifty bucks!!!

Re: Curtis

The same problem for me for the iMode iP215... right now, I am going to my cousin's house (he's a technical fixer person) If he can tell me what is the problem, I'll give you guys the answer on how to fix it. If not, I just lost money for nothing.

Wake up with the radio is always set to level 19... I would like to set my radio alarm with a lower volume... my centrios is a Speed to Sound CENTRIOS IPOD/IPHONE CLOCK RADIO I will return this

We also have this problem. Found this info in the product's Q&A on the website:

"Ok. there is a way that you can LOWER the wakeup radio volume. turn on the radio (forget about the alarm right now) and go to the station that you want. when you get to the station, you should be able to press the 'skip/fast forward' button on the remote. when you do this, number 5 should show up beside the station #. When you do this, it lowers the overall volume of every volume level, so now level 19 is equal to volume level 9/10, which for me is loud enough to wake me, but not give me a heart attack! so, now when the alarm goes of, the volume is a lot lower. BUT if you want to wake up to your ipod, this method will NOT work, it will still be up at level 19. so when you turn on your ipod, it will be really LOUD. again, this only works with the radio."

Also if you are waking to ipod and not radio this was in the reviews:
"Fooled with it for a bit and discovered that you have to turn down the volume of the iPod first before putting it on the dock. We've tried it a few times just to make sure and it worked every time!!"

Still not a perfect solution, but a great improvement. Hope this helps someone.

[] Copy this web link and paste it into the address bar of your browser. It will take you to the Emerson customer support web page of a pdf copy of the owners manual for your Clock/Radio. You can use the print function to make a pdf copy of the manual for your own use. To increase the sound of the buzzer in the alarm you will need to exchange the internal battery for a new battery. The buzzer works on this battery power alone. The model of the battery (CR2430) and how to replace it are in the owners manual on pages 41-44. If this fix doe not solve the problem you are having with the weak buzzer. You can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020. Between the hours of 9am-5pm CT. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem. I hope this information helps you with the problem of the weak buzzer sound on the alarm of your Clock/Radio.

IMode IP215 Won't Charge iPod 4th Generation

It's because it charges via FireWire and your iPod charges via USB. This 12V vs. 5V. I've encountered this twice recently myself. Scosche makes an adapter that's sold through the Apple Store.

I have an IMODE IP215 that has lost sound. Any suggestions

i am in Colombia, and year ago i bought in USA at Circuitcity (Miami) an Imode Ip 215 Clock Radio with IPOD dock station for a nephew gift. It functions several months without any problem but suddenly it does not sound anymore. A technician examination determined that the problem was not the volume control as i though but the CD8227CP Integrated . The Headphone jack always worked fine in spite of that problem, though the volume was fixed..
Idon't know if this common problem of the Imode devices mut be due to a defective or bad quality sound piece

I hope this help you to determine thereal problem.

Wave Radio-dial face,display very dim.

Our Bose did the same thing after a power outage. This one doesn't have a CD button, so we tried holding down the Clock button and used the volume control and that seems to have fixed it.

No sound

no thats not it , i have the same problem and both the ipod and iwake are fine.. even when i try to use the radio th one iwake, no sound comes out still.. so i thought the problem lies within the speaker, but even when i plug earphones into the iwake, no sound comes out of them, whether it be on ipod or radio..

Bose wave radio/cd

Found this in the manual:

To adjust the display brightness -

The display dims automatically to medium or low brightness, as appropriate for low light room conditions. You can adjust the brightness setting of the display for both strong light and lowest light environments, but not for the medium light setting. Turn the system off before setting brightness levels.

• In a strongly lit room, hold down CD Mode and press Volume up or down to adjust the setting between 5 and 9 (it is preset to 8).
• In a barely lit room, hold down CD Mode and press Volume up or down to adjust the setting between 1 and 5 (it is preset to 2).
• If you do not want the system to dim automatically, set both levels to 5.
