Check first that it is not the cable. Also check that it is not a configuration/OS problem. Contact the vendor to get the latest firmware. If all fails and you have determined that it is indeed the hardware network card that is faulty, you may check for loose components or corrosion, but it is best to replace it.
I hope this helps.

My network card is faulty pc not 12 months old

When you say faulty, I assume you mean that it is failing to connect to your router or modem. First, have you checked to ensure that the driver for the network card is not missing or corrupt? This can occur. Second, have you checked to ensure that you have not lost the security password (WPA/WEP) for the network card. This can prevent connections. If you are absolutely sure that the on-board network module is defective (it can happen...power surges and the like), then you can either get warranty service (if it is in warranty), or you can purchase either a USB adapter-type network card, or one that you can install internally to replace the faulty one on the mainboard. You don't necessarily need to do this, but you should go into the CMOS setup and disable the on-board network module if you don't plan to use it any longer. It will help to avoid confusion and will free up some mainboard resources.

4240n will not print when hooked up to the network

Might be on board network port faulty. Two ways infront of you.
1. Need to replace Formatter assembly
2. Add Zetdirect card(Network card).
Replacing the formatter is costly affair, better go for zetdirect card 615N or 620N..Add on card provision available in this series.

Hi there,

If you noticed that the network connection is disabled you will have to:

1. change the network adapter (LAN CARD) Or may be its a driver problem, install again

2. Verify the LAN cables! if they are faulty, please replace them

Thanks & Regards

When i connect to computer ethernet light does not come on

If the link LED does not light up on the computer then the fault is most likely a faulty LAN cable or the LAN card is faulty.
Replace the cable first and if this doesn't work check the LAN card and reinstall the LAN driver. If this doesn't work then then LAN card is faulty and needs to be replaced.

I had a faulty card on the tda 200. i replace with new ones. but dlc 16 too was faulty. now i cant make the consul phone work. so will like to get help how to go about it

Call a dealer. The replacement DLC-16 card requires registration in the U.S. and probably elsewhere. It also needs to have updates performed to get it to the current software.

As far as the defective card, if it was made prior to 6-07 (s/n 7Fxxxxxx), it was subject to recall. Pana warranty is 2 years, but it MAY be fixed for free.

Of course, if you don't live in the U.S. none of this may apply :-)

My dell lan card is not working,i cannot connect to internet.

Either the LAN card is faulty or the LAN driver is not installed and/or not configured properly or the LAN cable is faulty.
Check Device Manager to see if the LAN driver is installed, working and enabled. If not then re-install the LAN card driver.
If the LAN driver won't install or detect the LAN card then it maybe faulty and needs to be replaced.
Try a different LAN cable.
Is all the LEDs on in the modem?
Try rebooting the modem (power it off for 30 secs and power it up again).

I cannot connect to my wireless because I was told that my wireless card went bad. What is the next step to get this corrected

how does an internal wireless card "go bad"? unless you got it wet and it short-circuited... but you should really be able to just download the broadcom driver and then the wireless driver. don't rate me on this, but i don't think it's your card, but rather your router. my router has been sucking teabags lately.

Wireless connection wont work

To check if the wireless card is bad or OK.
Go to Control Panel - Network Connections - Is the wireless network connection listed and if so is there a red X on this connection?
If so, right click on the wireless and click Repair - this may fix your problem, it forces the wireless router to issue the wireless card with a new IP address.
If it doesn't fix the problem then go to Control Panel - System - Hardware tab - Device Manager - scroll down to Network Adapters and expand and check your wireless card, is it Working and Enabled?
If has a yellow ? against it or not working then reinstall the wireless card driver.
If the wireless card is built-in check the BIOS to see if the wireless card is enabled, if not enable the wireless card and repeat the above steps.
If this doesn't fix your problem then the wireless card is faulty and you need a new wireless card. You can get a PCMCIA wireless card to replace the faulty wireless card. If the wireless card is built-in then disable the faulty wireless card in the BIOS before you install the new wireless card.

the problem can be many:--
1.go to device manager and check under network adapters,,whether any wireless card is present or not,,if yes,,check whether there is a yellow bang beside it??if yes then the drivers need to be reinstalled,,if it still doesnt resolve the prob. then the hardware may be faulty.sometimes u might see a option "network controller" then u need to reinstall the WLAN card drivers.but if you dnt see any option of WLAN card or network controller, then u hav to open up the computer and reseat the card.if still doesnt work,,then replace the card
