Push in on the door while pressing the cancel secure button, and bump the door lightly with the palm,of your hand,at the top, right, and left.If this does not work,un plug the unit from the wall, for about2 minutes, and try and see if it releases while un plugged, and after you plug it back in.

Do it again, and push in on the door, and bump the door at the top,in the middle, use the palm of your hand,.If the clean cycle will come back on,turn it back on,and then off, while pushing on the door, and bumping it in the middle of the door at the top.

I am sorry not thinking,it did say that.Lift the top of the stove up,in the front and back, see if the lock is accesable ,there may be a reset in the stove control panel or a fuse,if not,the control panel circuit board is burned out.

I don't see the make and model number of your unit. I only see part of your post. Please post the make and model number. It should be a simple fix. From what I do see in your post, it sounds like the control board will need to be replaced.

Door locked after cancelling self clean option

Open the door. In the upper left corner, press and hold the door switch (the one that controls the inside light). Start a self clean cycle and wait for lock motor to engage. When the lock stops moving it should be in the unlocked position. Press cancel to stop the self clean.

If you need more assistance let me know.
Good luck!

Self Cleaning problem

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

Oven wont work after self clean

I have a Whirlpool MOD. RBS275PDB17 single electric self-cleaning oven; although the manual is generic, it specifies, "When the cycle is completed and the oven cools, "End" will appear on the lower oven display and "LOCKED' will disappear" and "To Stop Self-Clean any time: Press UPPER/OFF, LOWER/OFF or OFF/CANCEL. If the oven temperature is too high, the door will remain locked. It will not unlock until the oven cools." Has your oven had time to cool?

Self-cleaning gas oven

Door lock motor has probably failed.....Self clean on many
ovens can be a self destruct mode. Door latch motors, sensor
probes and even the electronic controls can be destroyed by
this operation. On many freestanding stoves the lock motor is located in the right rear (looking from the front) with a long rod connected to the lock. remove the motor and unhook the rod from the motor cam. Sometimes bending a coat hangar into a hook and sliding from the right side into the lock you can unlock the door.

Whirlpool RF367LXS Ceramic Glass Range not working

Almost every time I run the SELF CLEAN cycle on my Whirlpool Self Cleaning range, it fails to function after completing the self clean cycle, even though it completes the cycle of cleaning and unlocks the door. What I do to solve the problem, I power off the BREAKER for the range at the main electrical panel in the house and wait 30 seconds, then power on....and the whole system works just fine until the next time I clean it. This has been a problem from the beginning. My theory is that the electronics get heated up and, like a computer, the system stalls out and needs a complete hard reboot. Good luck!
