Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

My dsi xl (with f. 1.4.3u) won't open it, HELP?

It means you update the dsi console before updating your r4 card, and now you need to find a ds lite or dsi which version is lower than v1.4.4 to update the r4 card.

How do you download games on an r4i card

The r4 card you mean this one : http://www.modchipfactory.com/wood-r4i-gold-3ds-flash-cart-for-3ds-xl-3ds-dsi-and-ds-lite-p-1.html ? Just download the latest kernel firmware from official site and unzip it,open the folder, and copy the root files into your micro sd card.

Hello, i installed many firmware on my sd card. I also formatted de card. When i try to click on the icon, it says: an error accured etc etc. I have a dsi xl and a r41 sdhc v2.0 card. What am i doing...

OK, firstly make sure you are downloading the correct firmware for your R4i.

1. Download the latest firmware from the website shown on the front of the R4i card.

2. Back-up your games files and re-format the Micro SD and transfer the firmware.

3. Make sure you put your downloaded game files in a separate folder (I made a new folder called 'games' on the micro SD).

If this doesn't solve the problem then you may need to buy a new card compatible with the DSi XL (although the card you have should be fine)

I would recommend this site for downloading games:

Too internet

Just read on a site that 'you'll figure this out as soon as you first power up the system. Click on the DSi Shop icon from the main menu, and you're immediately prompted to run a firmware update.
if the first option does not work try this one:
1.You must either have broadband internet access and a wireless router or you can connect your Nintendo DSi at a hotspot, such as a library or coffee shop that offers internet access. Make sure you are in a location mentioned above before going to step 2. 2.Turn on your Nintendo DSi and click on the wrench icon. This will take you to the system settings.
3.Go to page 3 and select "Internet".
4.Click "Connection Settings".
5.Click "None" to the right of "Connection 1"
6.Click "Search for an Access Point".
7.Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected.
8.If you are planning on playing games online with your Nintendo DSi and have WPA security, you will have to set your router to WEP security. To do this, get back to the "Connection Settings" screen mentioned.
9. Click "Advanced Setup".
10.Click any button that says "none".Click "Search for an Access Point".Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked.
11.Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected.

How do i get internet on dsi

Well, i read on the GAME site, that you have to download it. I dunno where from though.

I just read on a site that 'you'll figure this out as soon as you first power up the system. Click on the DSi Shop icon from the main menu, and you're immediately prompted to run a firmware update.

The process for doing firmware updates is pretty much the same as it is on the Wii. For the non-Wii owners out there, that means pretty much hands-off, although a bit on the slow side. '

Can i update 1.2 version dsi

You can update the newest firmware but be careful about it when you use an R4 card or similar!

The newest Nintendo update (1.4.1 or 1.4.2) blocks most flash cards on the DSi and DSi XL consoles so it's quite likely you've fallen victim to this. Check out DSCardWorld.com's blog post about it here:

http://www.dscardworld.com/blog/2010/09/24/dsi-1-4-1-firmware-fixes-for-acekard-2i-ezflash-vi-m3i-zero/

You can probably buy a card that works with the 1.4.1 update like the Acekard 2i, EZFlash Vi or M3i Zero. However, make sure you only buy the real one as fake/clone cards can't be updated when Nintendo releases a new firmware (it makes them cheaper to produce that way, which is why they don't do it). I recommend grabbing them from DSCardWorld.com itself or nds-gear.com if you're in Canada or Europe, since their international shipping rates are a bit cheaper.

Good luck!

Do i need a lead to get the internet updates for

Heya,

You don't need a lead, you can connect to the internet via your Nintendo DSi's Wifi. But beware of the following!

Up dated my settings on my DSi with my R4i card in the machine know it will not work can you help solve my problem

Hello,

Which R4i you have will determine what you can do. If you have the R4i Gold, then I'm sorry to tell you, there's no workaround for DSi 1.4. If you have R4i SDHC (redbox) then you can get the latest firmware to make it work again. The fix is easy, no flashing or danger to your card or DSi.

There's a great tutorial to set it up on http://www.dscardworld.com with pictures and links to all the official software on their support page.

If you need to upgrade to a DSi v1.4 compatible card you can get a genuine cards there too. All their DSi compatible cards are clearly labeled. I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it.

Best of luck!
