Okidata 395ML Hi ! The powersupply of my Okidata wasn't working anymore. I change it with a new one. When I turned on the Okidata, it made its form feed and everything but all the lights on the control panel are lit on. nothing is working anymore :(

I'm sure everything is plugged ok. I tried a new main board this afternoon, now all the lights are ok but alarm is blinking. It seems like the sensor for paper is not working anymore. I have to start from the beggining, maybe I forgot a connector. I think the sensor's connector is near the powersupply. Anyway, thank you very much :)

I was riding my 2005 Suzuki LS650 (S40) a couple of nights ago, and my headlight went out. I purchased a new headlight bulb, and that still wasn't the problem. I then tried changing the two fuses,...

Hi, does the bike start and run, if yes, apart from lights and horn check what else works or does not work. If the bike won't start try checking the battery if OK find the starter solenoid and check the fuse on that. I had a similar problem many years ago on a Honda. turned out to be a blown rectifier/regulator. If you do cure the fault please remember to check the battery charging circuit is working properly. At idle a meter reading of around 13 volts is normal this should rise to 14/14,5 volts at 5,000 rpm. Hope this is some help.

Fatal error : 144 on a Okidata

this is indicated when the toner feed switch error
or the toner locklever-open error occurs repeatedly when new toner is used.

it has to do with the yellow.

3 possible solutions.
Confirm that the lever is in position.
Replace the toner feed unit.
Replace the ID units.

Okidata Microline 320 Turbo Printer - forms don't maintain registration

On older printers, tractor feed edges separate from the page while printing. Sometimes this can be a fluke, but other times it may point to a mechanical problem. Try taking the paper out of the printer and hitting the form feed button a few times. Watch the printer’s tractor feeds to make sure they are moving and are in synch with each other. Some printers use belts to move the tractor feeds and, over time, these belts wear, break, become smooth and slip, or become misaligned.

Environment can also contribute. Paper stored in a warehouse can weaken in intense heat or moisture. Carbon copy paper will especially cause this type of problem as one sheet's feeder edge can break away from the rest and peel slightly back. This will in turn slow the feed on one side as the edge buckles slightly under and may even skip to release pressure causing major alignment problems.

Line feeds

Hi-

When you said line feed do you mean the Top of form?

hope this helps

1. Make sure the printer is turned on and the desired tractor is selected (the corresponding tractor arrow should be lit).
2. Open the upper cover.
3. Press the Top of Form button to enter top-of-form mode. The printer beeps once, and the Top of Form light turns on.
4. Use the Micro Feed buttons to feed the paper to the desired top-of-form position. The “A” on the ribbon protector shows you where the bottom edge of your first line of text will print. This position is based on the first printable line of text. If your software inserts a top margin of five lines, your text will actually print five lines below the top-of-form position.
5. Press the Top of Form button again to exit and save your new top-of-form position. Then close the top cover.

Keep me posted if you have inquiries, thanks!

An online manual here: http://my.okidata.com/PP-ML320.nsf?opendatabase There is probably a top of form setting which needs to be checked & corrected. I assume you've checked tab/margin settings in your software & printer setup?
