Question about Televison & Video
From what I know the answer as of the moment is no. RCA supported the HD-DVD format which lost and I haven't seen any blu-ray players made by RCA presently.

Unable to play BD-R or BD-RE discs in the Blu-ray Disc® (BD) player.
The Blu-ray Disc® (BD) player does not support BD-R and BD-RE discs right out of the box. However, a free firmware update is available that will provide compatibility with BD-R and BD-RE discs recorded in the BDMV format.
If your computer is equipped with a DVD burner and compatible burning software, you can download the update from the Drivers & Software section of the Sony® eSupport Web site and then burn your own update disc on a DVD-R or DVD-RW disc. If you do not have the capability of downloading and burning your own firmware update disc, you can register the BD player online at http://www.productregistration.sony.com/ and a firmware disc will be sent to you automatically; the shipping and receiving time for the disc is approximately 7-10 days via U.S. mail.

Unfortunately, there are a couple potential problems. First of all, if you RCA rear projection tv is fairly old and is not a High Definition tv, you may not have an hdmi, dvi, or component connector cables inputs. Without these, you are left connecting your blu-ray only by the standard yellow (video), along with the audio (red and white) rca cables... either way, the High Definition portion of the blu-ray won't work with a non-High Definition tv. It may be time to buy an HD capable tv to use your blu-ray effectively...

You should be able to remove the case and retrieve the dvd from the player. You may or may not have to apply steady, gentle pressure on the dvd tray to force it open a bit if you can not remove the disc due to a covering. Make sure the device is unplugged before you remove the case.
There may be a few things that may have caused the problem to begin with. The first thing is that dirt or some sort of debris has cause the gears, tray track, or tray drive to jam. A close inspection with a flashlight should be enough to see anything that may be causing this. If you see anything, try removing it with tweezers if it large enough to grasp and then spraying the inside out really well with a can of compressed air.
The next things are that the disc tray gears or the gear belts have broken. you will also be able to see this with a close inspection. The following is a picture of what parts to look for:
The next thing could be that the disc tray motor has malfunctioned in which case would require replacement.
Another thing that could cause the dvd tray to not open is that the push button switch has malfunctioned either in the electrical circuits or the button itself has broken.
Other than cleaning out the inside of the player, I would suggest having a qualified technician replace any parts with the exception to the little belt, which in most cases you can do yourself easily if it is accessible without having to remove other parts (some models it can be reached easily and in others it may take removing overlaying parts).
I hope this helps give you and idea of how to solve the issue. Feel free to ask if you need further assistance.
If you would not mind, please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You
